Borderlands Save Editor (Revision 10)

This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    Are you sure you’re saving/loading to the right profile? Also, is it possible to get multiple elemental effects on one gun? I think I’ve seen it somewhere (NOT the chimera bullets).

    Well, you could be loading your save0001, instead of what you *think* is your save002 but is really your save0001. My ingame name is Dark_Rak3r, so I used the editor to change the names of the other saves to DarkRak3r so that I could tell which one was currently in use.

    u need to exit out of edit mode THEN save your changes. AKA: u cant have your keyboard cursor inside of a cell. what i usually do is after im done editing a cell, i click on another cell, this locks the previously edited cell in. you can safely save your changes then.

    i was having the same problem and i just figured it out about 2 hours ago…

    GAAAH! Deadltshot’s sniper rifle nearly drove me insane because he somehow added spaces in the parts… took me 3 tries to get it so that the weapon did not completely disappear from my inventory and find all those spaces >_<

    OH and can how can I make this have infinite magazine like the Dove, or give it ammo regen? It totally wiped out my sniper rifle ammo in seconds o__o

    Oops. I accidentally made a revolver that does about 145×14 damage, has the auto-fire sight, and apparently does not use any ammo at all. So if you zoom in and shoot once, it keeps shooting forever. Eh.

    The x10 didn’t work in multiplayer (it was only 980×5) so I discarded the combination for that one.

    im doin more damage with the sec sniper, forexample in treacher’s landing 1 headshot on a human (critical) does about 51k damage and the first sniper which has the damage x5 does only 41k damage on same human critical headshot.
    so thats why i think x5 or x9 or x12 what ever on snipers doesnt increas damage.. because one of my sniper has 990×3 and it shoots 3 bullets with 1 shoot(u can see 3 holes in wall)
    but if u shoot at monters the first bullet which hit mob as first only counts so its back again to x1 and not x3
    can this be right? or am talkin shit? xD
    so increasing the damage on snipers x1 plus bonus like +200% damage and high% on critical damge cud be better than tryin to find x max but only 1k damage or something

    The effect is probably similar to the shotgun’s spread, all the pellets must hit in order to get the maximum dmg (thus the usual x9 or x12 in shotguns). As for critical I think each bullet has an individual chance to do +150% critical dmg. If all go critical and all hit a high dmg area then it’ll be 51kx5. As simple as that.

    A good way to measure is to stand behind and shoot at one of the Destroyer’s tentacles in the final. Shoot it up-close with your guns, zero chance to miss.

    I made three silly variations of the Fearsome Wrath series of snipers. I mean burst-fire snipers. All have infinite ammo of course, burst snipers are silly otherwise. They’re also all pretty broken. They just shoot full auto until they get bored of it. Seeing it in action the first time had me burst-snipe out laughing :/.

    Ok, this SMG actually does have infinite ammo. With.. two dove barrels. Three also works, one somehow doesn’t seem to. While testing I managed to make it 12x with burst fire, it was empty in under a second. But that’s boring, if reloading takes longer you can spend firing.

    (It makes more sense to switch material and orion shock, but that gets you an *ugly* name. The weapon seems to be the same both ways.)

    If you replace the orion shock at the end with another gd_weap_shared_materialparts.Material.chaos , it shoots even more bullets (12 now).
    If you *also* replace chimera with another gd_weap_shared_materialparts.Material.chaos , you get 16x damage, but for me as a Siren weapons without elemental effects are boring.
    *Also* replace Stock and Grip for 24 bullets. Need I say more? 0 accuracy though. Not that it wouldn’t hit most things at any range due to the sheer bullet amount.

    Does the Chimera cause vastly less elemental effects than the dedicated volcano incendiary one or is that just the game deciding not to do more effects because my computer is already somewhat laggy? On the first burst I rather reliably get some effect, but with sustained fire I barely get any anymore.

    Rick, could you look into deleting weapons? Removing the weapon object and saving results in an unplayable savegame (borderlands just starts a new game once you try to load it!)
