Dark Souls No-Logo Hack (Steam Build 2.0)

Sunday, December 21st, 2014

This forces the game to skip the splash screen logos. Compatible with Steam Build 2.0 (note: only the beta branch, not the public branch).

Extract the DLL to your game directory (where DARKSOULS.exe resides). That’s it.

Download.

It’s only compatible with the current version of the game (and some earlier versions), if there is a patch, it will need to be updated (and should safely warn you of this).

Do not replace any system files with d3dx9_43.dll from this archive. This will break things horribly.

  • Fixed Relic to Oz Kit.
  • Reimplemented packed item handling to improve handling of DLC items.
  • Updates to game info (“Handsome Jack Pack”) for the new Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! content.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! Save Editor (Revision 7)

Sunday, October 19th, 2014

Get the new version.

  • Initial release (hotfix).
  • As this is the first release, damage to your save files could occur. Don’t use it if you don’t want to take that risk.
  • Fast Travel tab is (obviously) missing, due to changes in how that’s handled. It may return in the future.
  • I have no idea if console (PS3, 360) formats/compression was changed at all, so that may be broken.
  • Fixed some reencode issues, if you encounter more, please comment this post.
  • If you are getting a reencode issue with revision 7, try loading the save in-game, and going to Options, Gameplay and turning Vehicle Steering to traditional.
Hopefully that resolves the issue. This problem will be fixed in the next release.

Download.

If you encounter any problems (crashes, etc), feel free to comment this post.

PIX, D3D11 and Windows 8

Monday, October 14th, 2013

So PIX is broken in Windows 8 for D3D11 (1, 2). I like PIX. I don’t like Visual Studio 2012, and can’t be bothered to install it alongside Visual Studio 2010 just for the graphics debugger.  So I wanted to try and see if I could find out why and possibly fix it. (more…)
