@Annony, oh it has explosive alright, shots 3 rockets, looks very odd, also be very careful when using this weapon, dont hold down the fire button, otherwise, it is going to shot bullets (3 rockets) like a rifle, will lag your computer.
Just tried it now, burst fire froze the game for like.. 3 seconds. xDD
@baron Yeah I have a Hellfire version of it to cuz it even laggs my computer and its a powerhouse lol.
@Lkz Ive tried the dove barrel but from my experience it doesnt seem to work with weapons with damage multipliers (ie. x3 or in that case x7) no matter where you put the barrel.
@Annony Oh hell no lol it is a ridiculous weapon. I made it for shits and giggles. It will basically kill anything lol…Including yourself if your not carefull.
I have an smg that doesn’t use ammo at all, but still does damage. But even copy+paste the original code doesn’t replicate the effects.

I really want modding for Borderlands. I really hope there are some people out there really trying very hard to mod this game. It’s just a game that totally NEEDS mods. Even some minor texture mods, because so much in Borderlands can be improve upon. I really hope that you can figure out a way to mod this. I’d really like it more if people would stop concentrating on modding Far Cry 2, and concentrate more on this. Even with some retextured stuff, Far Cry 2 will still remain boring. I like Far Cry 2, but without major mods that can add stuff like Fallout 3, it’ll still feel the same. So I’m hoping people will really put a ton of effort into modding Borderlands, and it seems mod support isn’t going to happen. I hope that there will be a SDK or something, but it doesn’t seem likely.
hey HavocSatan, is there a way to make that awesome smg fire bullets instead of rockets but still keep that amazing damage?
Im working on 3 weapons at the moment. An Smg with a RoF of 45 thats has the AoE Volcano accesory, a corrosive pistol that does over 2000 damage a shot and has a hyperion invader shot for rapid fire :D, and a smg using the orion shock accesory which seems to make it randomly cause shock explosions in a massive radius around the player :D. ill post the stats here when im done.
Oh and is there a list somewhere that properly documents what each of the materials does to a weapon?
@Xanorak totally agree with you. This game NEEDS mods. Its got so much potential. I’d love to see a mod that expands upon the manafacturers, gun types and parts. In the meantime though i wish someone could find a fix for the chaos and chameleon materials so they work in multiplayer :(.

There isn’t an itemcard for that gun, also the parts don’t look like they can make it shoot rockets or have high dmg. It looks like a regular SMG.

I’d like to try that SMG but im not getting anything like that, im getting a single shot 264 dmg chimera effect smg, is what you put right?
I have this gun working from a post earlier in this thread. It’s perfect but it fires like 5 bullets for each shot. Im fine with the entire clip being shot in one burst when using the scope but i would prefer when not using the scope for the gun to normally be a single shot. Is there any way I can do this or can someone please edit the weapon values to make it fire one bullet at a time only?

Just posted my new revised weapons (sniper and repeater) on http://www.zerosubstance.net/borderlands/
I’ll be adding a shotty and full auto sniper soon, late tonight/early tomorrow and btw I know not many of you realize but if you use the prefix Twisted and the title Anarchy (twisted adds dmg and anarchy adds x2 effect for bullets) you get alot better outcomes for weapons =) Friend recently turned me onto the idea
Rick, love the editor your work is fantastic!
I have 2 suggestions though.
1: Be able to copy/paste entire rows. (Click the furthest left tab which you click before duplicating, then CTRL+V works for it) This way we can copy into other savegames.
2: Auto-Expand. When opening your editor by default all the sections are small so you can’t see all the text in a field. You have to manually click and drag the margins for every section. A button to auto-expand each to a size that fits all the containing text would be fantastic.

Yeah um I made an assualt rifle..and yeah it only does 17 damage for some reason..plus it’s a burst fire. What determines if your weapon is a burst fire or not??
Combat rifles are burst, support machine guns are full auto

Thanks for agreeing with me. I would try to mod Borderlands, but snail droppings know more than me about modding. I’m pretty sure it is possible to mod Borderlands, and I won’t even mind if I have to sacrifice multiplayer.
@KingDecay As I posted somewhere above, if you have the ‘double’ accessory to increase bullet amount, you need more than one dove barrel according to my tests. That’s why I just kept stacking chaos material to get more bullets at once. I did post a working multi-barrel SMG with inf ammo somewhere above. I think my best shotgun has.. 22 bullets? And my best SMG has like 12. The shotty of course has the Hyperion Invader Sight.

So, I just discovered revolver elementals have a 100% chance to proc on every shot… if you’re making an elemental weapon, use the revolver accessory type for guaranteed procs every time!

Also if you swap the material for Torgue 3 the capacity drops down to 1440 but you get 60% HP boost
Also I am using the ‘Solid Snake’ Anachonda revolver listed above on my hunter. However I made some minor tweaks to improve it. I added the Dove barrel into the action slot and swapped out the x4 corrosive for x4 chimera and let me tell you this thing is a beast! I lost about 50dmg I think its at 950 instead of 1000 but I never have to reload and the chimera is so much fun!

I noticed in your SVN source that there’s a variable for the Playthrough, but there isn’t a field for modifying that value. Have you tested modifying that value? Do you plan on making a field for this in the future?
It’s pending research, I haven’t played through the game a second time to see what value changes that sets the game into “playthrough 3”.
I am still adjusting somethings on the guns, but yes each one has a multiplier with the SMG being x6 and a chimera. If you want the current versions of the guns just add me ingame.
