Borderlands Save Editor (Revision 10)

This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    Rick could you look at deleting weapons? Currently it results in a broken savegame (the game just starts a new game!)

    Does it have something to do with the ‘Stats’ variable?

    Finally finished it, after many hours of wasted time on this darn thing I think its finally as good as I can get it.

    Two pistols, one fire and one explosive..if anything these pistols are extremely fun but also very overpowered and amazingly accurate so use at your own discretion, so here ya go.

    Has anyone else had trouble getting certain Eridian parts to work? Anytime I use the rifle, mega cannon or fire barrels on an Eridian configuration the barrel becomes invisible to another character connected to me via LAN. Perhaps there are certain combinations that just don’t work? Anyone have actual Eridian weapons using any of those parts that can post the config to see what they’re built like?

    Can anyone else confirm this? It seems like not only the prefix but the title has no effect on the weapon too. I made two identical guns, one with the gd_weap_patrol_smg.Title.Title_Firerate1_Stinger title and one with gd_weap_support_machinegun.Title.TitleM_Torgue_Bastard, and they had the exact same stats. Does the torgue bastard title increase the shown stats or the actual damage done by each bullet without changing the item card?

    Its invisible in my weapon slot when I look at it and when I try to equipt it ,the game just freezes and and error comes out saying report this to microsoft blablabla then there is a general fault sumthing sumthing.

    I made my worst mistake and saved the wrong file over the original and had to start all over again. I would kindly suggest that on revision 11 to put a confirmation popup box on saving. Thanks

    Yeah, I did that too. may I suggest finding a way to have a one-click save? Like in a program such as microsoft word, once you save the file for the first time you can just go to the menu and click save, and it will automatically save it to the correct file. This won’t stop this from happening, but it will drastically reduce the chances.

    Please don’t add this useless function. It will only help the stupid people who don’t back up their files or can tell the difference between important files.

    Plus if you fuck up, is it really that hard to put 10 or so weapon codes back in? No it isn’t.

    That’s basically the same problem I’m having. There are certain parts that just won’t work in LAN or multiplayer, the fire-based versions being one of them.
    As for the power of the Fire Storm being low, it’s actually quite devastating due to the DoT. Try the Firebomb barrel on it for some serious fireworks. It does both incendiary and corrosive DoT.

    Still hoping someone can post a stock Eridian weapon that uses these other parts so we can see what the makeup of it is. The rifle barrels, fire barrels and mega cannon barrel just don’t seem to remain visible on anything other than single-player. Would like to be able to show off these new parts when I’m playing with friends.

    I usually have about 4-5 saves all at different stages of testing and backup. I don’t really have time to back up each and every time I save a small change, so they are usually a small ways apart. Hell, I would love even a keyboard shortcut for saving. I do use my first save (save0001) as my primary, and it does show up in the first slot when saving, but sometimes your hand slips and you fuck up. It just seems to make more sense to automatically save to the open file instead of having to choose it each time you save. And yes, it is a pain in the ass to go back and try to remember and replace the parts that I had been using for my most recent work. I don’t want to have to reconstruct my last hour of work; it’s like writing a really good essay, overwriting it, and having to rewrite a good but not quite as perfect essay as a replacement.

    The patch was reworked in private to conform to Rick’s coding style.
    After you applied the patch, you had to compile it.

    Found a great combination for a pistol, when zoomed it empties the clip, which is 83, has ammo regen and more. Try it out.

    I am just getting started at this and i am gathering similar weapons and pulling out abilities by what they have in common.
    Currently i am on the “holy crap it shoots rockets” project
    I can successfully make a Jacobs Hunter shotgun with close to 70% accuracy shoot rockets.
    But no luck on the 2 SMGs and 1 sniper rifle, damage looks great, stats have a huge boost with the introduction of rockets… BUT when shot at an enemy the smg and sniper rifle deal 0 damage.

    I add my rockets to any gun by adding this to the barrel slot

    As for the last post. I’ve not tried hybrid weapons yet, but I’m gonna guess only shotguns can use shotgun parts. The system will try to generate a shotgun like stat to the wrong weapon type and it’ll just null out.

    @King That’s actually a pretty nice list of stuff. Got a combo pretty nice and close to that. Damage wasn’t as high though. NJ!

    As far as I know, hybridized guns work fine. Like, putting the helix barrel on a machinegun to give it x3. Or adding the hyperion destroyer scope to a gun to let it go full auto when scoped.

    Yes. If I have 5 saves lined up, there is the chance that I will save to the wrong one accidentally. I have accidentally moved my cursor down a half inch and saved to the wrong file. Especially since, by default, Gibbed’s editor saves to the last SAVED TO, not opened, save file.

    Has anyone compiled a list of skills? The main focus of this tool seems to be concocting the best weapon. I’d much rather be able to mix and match custom skills as I see fit, rather than limiting myself to the option of three skill trees.
