  1. Guigui says:

Hi, i used Bruteforce Save data and Gibbed for Borderlands2, and all was ok, but now i try to use it for Borderlands Pre-sequel and i always have this error message : “Failed to load save: reencode mismatch”.
I have Bruteforce 4.7.4 and Gibbed Revision 256.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks !

  2. Renovatio_j says:

@ Guigui, you need to download another gibbed Version. There is one just for Borderlands the pre sequel.

  3. dennis tyler wooten says:

is that support ps4 file to that?

      • Vincent says:

The closest thing you can get is using a PS3 to transfer the save file to the PS4, but you have to use the PS4 to transfer it to the PS3, use a thumb stick to grab the save file, so you can edit it on your PC.

  4. Jenn says:

Hi! I DL your editor for BL2, unzipped into it’s own folder in my downloads, clicked on the application but it won’t run. Tried as administrator as well, no success. Running x64 Windows 7. Any suggestions?

  5. Eli says:

Hey, i have used this program for a while now and everything works fine except when i try to make really modded weapons. They are in my save, but do not appear in my vault. I am aware that they do not appear if in your inventory. Why do they not show up? thanks!

  6. matthew says:

i cant seem to access my save file from horizon, it brings up “failed to load, invalid or unsupported version”

  7. Nikolas says:

    Hi
How do i get to use this on a macbook, i am going to play on ps4, but i can’t open the editor on my mac please help

  8. diWReCKtor says:

Hi, everytime i download it, it deinstalls after i close it. See if you can fix it tnx

    • DOMIN8 says:

This program doesn’t install. All you have to do is extract all the files from the zip to a folder and run the exe.

  9. xExoticWebx says:

Hey, when I use Horizon to extract my files, so I can use gibbed, but when i try to open my profile to open it up and mod it, it says that its invalid, any help?

How do you download this for Mac so you can transfer your data from Xbox 360 to Mac

  12. Cameron says:

I’m having trouble using horizon to get my .sav files from borderlands 2 transferred into gibbed… I can copy the files from my 360 into the flashdrive, find my file on the flash drive, however when i try to extract and replace the previous .sav file it says error “The process cannot access the file E:\content\ … because it is being used by another process.” I don’t have any other applications open and I’ve even went into task manager to make sure there isn’t anything else running. I’d greatly appreciate some help. Thanks

  13. Jason says:

accidently chose adobe 9 reader to run the program, wouldnt start using adobe so i deleted adobe from my computer and when i re download rev 256 it still says its being run by adobe and even opens adobe. i used this last night with no problems to edit the levels of already farmed guns. got home today to edit something tried to open program then accidently chose adobe to run it because it wouldnt open.

I use gear calculator to make gears. Is there an easy way to add weapons to my save. It seems like i need to add every parts name one by one.

  15. Stefan says:

    I use BL2 Save Editor Rev 256. I`m on level 72 + 2 (overpower level 2).
But I`m not able to to create a new Seraph weapon, may be the pistol Devastator. If I select GD_Orchid_RaidWeapons.Pistol.Devastator.Orchid_Seraph_Devastator_Balance, a red frame appears and I`m not able to run the next steps.

The Seraphim dealer in Oasis didn`t have this pistol in his offering for me.

    Where is the error?

    Thanks for helping.

Hi, and thank you a lot for this tool…

I saw a video telling how to use Gibbed’s Save Editor and it got mencioned that someone could select any head and skin for any character, i have tried this several times for Krieg trying to get the heads and skins from the Costumes Packs 2 and 3, but every time i open the game my character goes back to the deafult head and skin, and the head and skin that i wanted to unlock keep locked…

If this does not work like this, and the Save Editor just cannot unlock DLC required content just feel free to say it, i can still use the program for item level, and when i have the possibility i will donate to your cause.

Thanks for the attention and time, i flee awaiting a response and hoping you are perfect…

    Greeting Flocripa.

    • DOMIN8 says:

The editor will not unlock DLC heads/skins.

    • mike says:

Hello, the editor will not allow any DLC heads/skins or costume head/skins because I assume it doesn’t want to rob Gearbox of its money, and its technically illegal. However, you can use the poker night heads/skins.

  17. Tormented says:

Hello, I am having trouble.. I Extracted my save game file to my computer(from xbox360) using Horizon and open the Editing Tool. I click open, go to my save file but I get “Failed to load save: cannot load XBOX 360 CON files, extract file using Modio or equivalent”
I tried Modio but for some reason wont let me extract files on it like Horizon.
What’s causing it and how do I fix this problem.
Any information will help out a lot.

Thats the code for the sham, use the button “Paste code” and it should generate it automatically, once is generated i think you can change parts of it to get the specs that you want, or maybe just create a bunch until you get the right one…

I got the code from: http://sparfires.imgur.com/

  24. Sparsh says:

I am experiencing the same problems as FatalOnPC. The save editor used to work fine before but now it is not working at all. Tried doing almost everything (compatibility troubleshooting and administrator). I think it is because of the Windows 10 Creator Update. Please help I really need this tool.

  25. case says:

Hi, gibbed will not open up or run, im using windows 10 64bit it was working, but now it has stopped i have tried compatibility mode/troubleshooting and run as administrator nothing is working.

  26. Ray (Blackbayou)Worrilow says:

By looking at the game how can we tell witch version of gibbed we need? ive gotten an assortment of errors from unable to load con files to reencode and the latest version of gibbes just gives me an incompatibility error

    • DOMIN8 says:

As long as your game is up to date, you’ll just need the most recent version of Gibbed.

      • Doreikuken says:

So my game is fully updated on 360, i have .NET installed, and latest gibbed. I don’t however have any DLC since i have the Collection for XB1.

somewhere between copying the .Sav and gibbed it screws up, or Gearbox changed the save format with the Compatability pack. (as if they patched the “hackibility” of the game)

hey I’m using this for my xbox 360 but when I’m don’t and laod the game nothing is working. no weapons are loaded and no extra money. any advice to how to fix this?

  31. thekjk11 says:

Seems to clash with windows 10 creators update. Doesn’t open, shows up as a backround process for a few seconds in task manager when double clicked. If opened right after booting to windows it’ll actually open, but crashes after a few seconds. Worked normally before the windows update.

  32. nvotylklerge says:

Same problem as others with Windows 10 and Gibbed just not running. It used to run, but since the Creator’s update, it just stopped.

    • nvotylklerge says:

I assume the problem has something to do with the .NET Framework version that comes with the Windows 10 Creator’s Update (version 4.7 vs 4.6). Unfortunately, I can’t find any way to either repair that version of .NET or to get an earlier version loaded.

      • nvotylklerge says:

More interesting stuff. I’ve got two nearly identical Windows 10 machines here (both on the Creator’s Update). On one, Gibbed runs fine. On the other, it no longer runs at all. On the one where it’s not running, I ran MSCONFIG and booted into Safe Mode. Gibbed runs fine there. So, it doesn’t seem to be a Gibbed problem. Instead, it looks like something on that computer is stopping it from running in normal mode.

        • Rick says:

Are you using any sort of anti-virus on the machine that it didn’t run on without safe mode?

          • nvotylklerge says:

No. Both machines are running just Windows Defender. In researching this, I’m seeing similar issues back through the years pointing to something going wrong with the .NET Framework. People will report that they theoretically have .NET installed, but their .NET apps won’t run. They (like me) uninstall and re-install .NET from Programs & Feature > Turn Windows Features On or Off, but it doesn’t help. I’ve only found one post where a person solved the problem. And he did it by doing a clean install of Windows. I’ve even gone to the Visual Studio site and downloaded the free “Community” version. When I try to run that, it unpacks and does nothing. So, there’s definitely something wrong with that machine. Unfortunately, it’s my wife’s machine and there’s not a chance that she’ll let me do a clean install of Windows until smoke is coming out of the box.

          • case says:

It works now i added gibbed to my Exclusions List, not sure why i didn’t think of my anti virus blocking, it was never an issue before but now its working and i’m on windows 10.

          • nvotylklerge says:

This is to “case” (our reply depth seems to be too deep): What AV do you use? How did you put in an exception? I’m just using the default Windows Defender and can’t seem to find any way to do that.

  33. case says:

I’m using Avast i just go to settings and click on exclusions tab and add file path(where ever i have gibbed installed) thats on Avast anti virus, with windows defender i’m not certain if it has an exclusions tab in the settings. Have you tried checking your firewall.

  34. KraZ says:

  35. William says:

Im pretty sure its only meant for Borderlands 2

    • mike says:

Yes. If you want to do it with the Pre-Sequel, look for the other editor made by rick. If you want to use it on Borderlands 1, use willowtree.

Thanks for the tool! it’s worked great in the past, but running into an issue.

i have it in a folder in the borderlands2 folder in steam, i can use the program to alter current saves, and make new saves (tried both), and it saves in the correct documents folder.
But when I go in game, it does not see the updated save, or the new save i have made.
I know it has to be something simple, but what am I missing?
I have all the DLC, so i don’t think that’s causing an issue.

    Hi,

Am curious. With the release of save wizard for ps4 which does allow you to manually edit saves, what is the possiblility of gibbed for a ps4 editing.

    Cheers

    • DOMIN8 says:

Unlikely. From what I can tell, Save Wizard is something more akin to GameGenie and not an actual save resigner/decrypter like Xploder or BruteForce. If at some point we are capable of getting a decrypted copy of save, Rick may be able to update the software to work directly with them if he’s still interested.

      • Rick says:

Yes, the PS4 Save Wizard is the same shitty software that the PS3 got before the better tools existed. They don’t give you an original copy of the decrypted save, so I cannot add support for it.
