No. There is a sanity check in-game for that so there isn’t anything you can do to the save file to get around that.

i cant load my lvl 18 mecro, it gives me an error, invalid sha1 cannot load, i do the same as all my other characters but i keep gettin this just with my mecro
Can you play DLCs in general? If you can you probably just have to delete and redownload the Mechro pack, try refreshing cashe too. (Assuming your on Xbox)

Not really. You can add as many items as you want with the editor but you can’t increase the actual capacity of your Bank/Backpack.

I just tried downloading gibbed on my paralells desktop running windows xp. After I extract the files and click the handsome jack icon (Gibbed.Borderlands2.SaveEdit.exe) I just get an error message saying that “the program was not initialized correctly 0xc0000135”
I’ve tried downloading it several times after that but the same message comes up.
I’ve never used this before so there’s probably something obvious that Ive missed… Any help appreciated.

I can’t seem to open it. When I run the executable, nothing happens. I have the .NET framework and everything.
Looks like I’m having the same problem people have reported previously. I can open earlier versions, but all newer versions won’t open at all. Has anyone found a fix for this?
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and verified my installation of .NET. I’m using 4.5, the program still won’t open. Anyone?

I can’t install 4.0. http://www.microsoft.com/net/downloads Earlier versions include 1 through 3, but 4 has been replaced with 4.5.

Update: I force-uninstalled 4.5, found a legacy installer for 4.0, installed it, and now it runs. Of course, .NET will auto-update the moment I run anything newer, so 4.5 support would be nice.

I don’t have any issues with .NET 4.5 on my end, there really shouldn’t be any issues to begin with. Providing a .NET 4.5 build is only a bandaid solution.

You just can’t use gear higher than OP8 is all.
Ha, wow, it never occured to me that I could make gear higher than OP8 before. I see now why Gearbox fixed that. So, before I install the new updates and DLC, how were people using gear higher than OP8? I made an OP10 as a test, but I cannot use it.
You had to set your Overpower Level to the appropriate level but, that has been patched.
If you give yourself skins that you have to buy first for real money, can steam ban you for that?

You can’t be banned, since there are no monetary violations (i.e. you are not stealing anything), and the game doesn’t employ VAC. There’s nothing to ban you from.

HAving issues using the program with my PS3 Save files. It won’t allow me to open (new) saved files to edit and if I create a file, my PS3 reports that the file is corrupt. Am I doing something wrong?
If you create a new file, make sure you choose your correct platform on the General tab.
Darn it, my latest installation also installed the upcoming Marcus DLC. Does this mean that r227 will not work for me?
It didn’t install the DLC. The previous update GBX included the information for HH pack 3 into the game so that when the DLC is actually released, they don’t have to update the game again.

Click the download link and it should download the zip file and then you extract the contents to a folder on your hard drive. If it isn’t downloading properly then there is a problem with your browser most likely.

You don’t really. You have to use a Blank profile or have another profile resigned to you. The other option is to use a challenge farming save.
Yeah there is one problem thats regarding the over powered skills, that i put on my psycho everything is lost all my weapons class and mod and relics are lost but luckily i had a backup…still it may be due to the new update of borderlands 2 cracking down on modders making insanely high level classes. Anyways if you knew about this and maybe a fix to this problem too.
Anything over OP8 will be deleted by an in-game sanity check. There is no fix.

Are you clicking on the down arrow next to New Weapon and making sure you are trying to create it using the proper Set ID?

I’m having CORRUPT SAVE issues in game – my PS3 recognises the file but the game itself won’t. I don’t think it’s a resign or decrypt/encrypt problem. Is this happening to PS3 exclusively?

Thank you for offering, could you add max level (72 + skill points) and add 2 SDU slots for the ES file? And could you also max money the US file? I was able to edit everything prior to the above issue, I wonder if it’s because of the HH DLC’s.

ETA: Found the problem and fixed it, I believe the newest patch added more insanity checks and that’s what made the file read as corrupt (because I usually enter crazy numbers for currency fields)
When Edit my pg, using horizon and putting level 72, after “Save, Rehash, and Resign” I try to play it gives me a strange error : I can play at level 72 but when I choose the pg tells me that I do not have the dlc for that level but I’ve bought them all . I have 3 pg who are level 72 +8 .

What is your XP at? If it is over the maximum legit value, you will get that message. Max is 9520933 on Xbox.

On pc i’ve loaded a downloaded save file once just to have a look at something and now i suddenly got 811 badass tokens to redeem on all my (further fully legit) chars.
I like to play the game as it is and without help, how can i get rid of the 811 tokens? I was hoping to use this tool for that but i cannot find an option for it?

Nm i figured out it had to be something with the profile.bin file instead and found a profile editor.

A idea is make a “loot generator”, you regulate the chance and click on this option, the character selected will be fill of random items on the inventory.
This is like a chest generator too, but inside of your character.

Hey guys. I tried to edit some of the weapons, now multiplayer is gone for good. Any idea how to fix this?
I can access the game, single player works, but when I start to connect to my mate, the game starts the connection sequence with the 30 sec timer, then it starts loading and I see the weapon rotating, after a couple of seconds the game crashes.
I’m open to suggestions.
Just editing weapons shouldn’t cause something like that to happen. Is there anything else that you messed with?
No. It’s really frustrating. I didn’t change any character stats or badass points or xp or anything. I did edit some of the weapons, as in I tried to get another scope on some weapons. Is that it?
Ok, I upgraded some of the stuff to OP4, our current level.
I created a electricity+xp ancient heart out of a duplicated fire+xp ancient heart
I changed some of the weapon parts on a unkempt harrold and a sand hawk just top try out some stuff
But that’s it. Nothing more. If I select one of the chars with items that have been edited, the multiplayer connection crashes and I can wipe the game and reinstall everything. nothing else works.
Forget it. It was the DLC. All is good, keep up the good work.

Can I use this method to mod a level 1gun to do extreme amounts of damage and level me up quickly only… I guess I’m asking about making a hybrid weapon, will that not work after the latest patch? Kind of like a one hit kill, common weapon that i can use as a level 1

No that will not work. Even before the patch, a level 1 gun will only do level 1 damage. You’d have to mod your Profile to get extra damage regardless of level. However, since you are on PS3, you can’t really mod your Profile easily. You have to find a modded Profile that has been blanked out or find a modded Profile and have it resigned to you.
How about a shield that takes no damage? 🙂
Also no. Modding your shield stats could achieve this though.
so my best bet when starting off from scratch will be to level up online, boosting, and then go back and play to the story for my first time?
If you want to make the story easier then yes. You can just use the editor to make yourself whatever level you want though.

They should but, you won’t be able to play online.

No. It would be extremely difficult to get banned on BL2.

Good work! One thing I miss in this save editor though is a feature from the save editor for BL1 and how easy it was to “complete playthrough” and all missions as if you had really done it. I was using Willow Shubbery’s quickfix (http://www.myborderlands.com/QuickFix.aspx) which was really good! It was so easy to just complete/reset a whole playthrough! I Would really appreciate it if you would add such feature! Anyways, keep up the good work man!
