    hey go watch demon asulym video on how to mod it you have to get a thing called bruteforce and decrypt before loading it into gibbed

      always create a backup save of your character before going and modding it in case it goes wrong you can go back to where it was fine and start modding from there

    I need help with modding bl2 ok first I out my mechromancer save on a USB then decrypted it and then modded with gibbed r179 and then saved it then went back to brute force then updated (full) then encrypted it but when I refreshed nothing changed plz help

    When I mod a weapon, the level keeps dropping back to 1 after I load the save in the game. What am I doing wrong?

      Make sure both the ‘Manufacturer Grade’ and the ‘Game Stage’ fields on the weapon builder/editor are up to your level. also, pressing “Sync All” will typically do it for you. ‘Game Stage’ is probably your issue.

    How do i get my changed/modded file from the Gibbed’s back on to Modio. No matter what I do all I get is an error saying invalid content

      replace the original SaveGame.sav file. using Horizon (which in my opinion is easier), what you have to do is this: once you have edited it in Gibbed, press ‘Save.’ navigate to the folder that contains the pre-modded SaveGame.sav. and type in the Name field: SaveGame.sav –no different. case sensitive. then hit enter/return and it should pop-up saying “there is already a file with that name, do you want to replace it?” MAKE SURE YOU PRESS YES/REPLACE/REPLACE AND DELETE ORIGINAL. then in Horizon, open the Device Explorer on the right side of the window. go into your USB mass storage device, select Borderlands 2, open that, then double click on the save game you want to edit. once the little window for that save game is open, go into the ‘Contents’ tab, right click the Save Game | 0x0013 | 7.96kb thing, click Replace, then select the SaveGame.sav that you modded. then, hit Rehash, Resign and whatever button then okay. about six times to make sure.

    After editing my character in gibbed and then save, when I go back to brute force and click refresh it still shows my character at the level he was before I edited, what am I doing wrong??

        It just hasent updated if you just encrypt it and put the save back on your system and select it on borderlands 2 and load and play it, should update to 61 then when you go back to it it will be 61 it happened to me hope this helped

    I’m having some serious trouble and it doesn’t seem like it should be. Ok so I open my character in brute force and decrypt everything no problem, then I open my character in gibbid editor and modd him with no issues, then I save my character still in gibbid overwriting the previous save from my desktop so then I close gibbid with no issues through all of that, my problem is when I go back to brute force and refresh the list my character is still at the level before modding, it’s like I did nothing to my character according to brute force. Someone plz help I’ve been trying for days and I dunno if I’m just an idiot or what

        I’m having the same issue Tyler is having. I am able to open up my extracted BL2 Save. I make a serious of changes and create the modded save after. After I successfully replace the old BL2 save on the flash drive with the newly created modded save, I also successfully upload it and overwrite the old console save. However, when I finally log into the game when all is done, I find everything in its original prior to the changes I made. I’m at a loss as to what the problem is. Please help. Any help with be appreciated.

      I’m not sure exactly, but in the Raw tab of Gibbed, there are units called PlotMissionNumber and ActiveMissionNumber. I’m sure if you mess with those, set them back to a lesser number, you’ll be able to redo a mission. Not sure about the bosses such as the invincibles or the warrior but probably most of the less important missions will work.

      Change the number of PlotMissionNumber accordingly to each Chapter of the story, i.e., Chapter 4, the road to sanctuary – you would make the PlotMissionNumber a 4. ActiveMissionNumber only dictates what the CURRENT mission is, for example, when you first continue your game, what it says on the top-right of your HUD. This can easily be changed in the ( <| ) button menu (on xBox)

      No worries, if you mess around with things and you're not sure what you're doing, the game will usually fix it automatically when it loads. however, just to be safe, I would write down what you are changing, what you are changing them to, and what they started out as. Especially in the Raw tab.

        That is correct, internal code name that stuck to the Harold pistol.
        Some of the special weapons and shields are like that, i.e. Impaler Shield.

        Ok so I decrypt my borderlands 2 saved character in brute force with no issues and then I open him in gibbed editor and i modd my character with what I want and then save or the existing file on my desktop no problem. The issue I’m having is when I go back to brute force to re-crypt my character he is still the same lol he was before I modded him even after hitting refresh tons of times, brute force won’t show my updated character but when I reopen it in gibbs editor it has the correct modded level, it’s just not updating in brute force, what am I doing wrong??

      It is because you did not sync your EXP with your Level so your EXP is still super low and you need the required amount to level up.

    I think Revision 179 no longer works with the latest borderlands because changes are discarded by the game.

    Whenever I try to create a new weapon from one of the dlc’s the name of the gun turns red and wont let me change any of the other parts of the gun. Please help

      Make sure you use the tic for the dlc specific dropdown instead of using the one for New.
      i.e. New to [New Weapon] you’ll see [v] <-Click that and chose your dlc from the list.

    question, i went through all the steps correctly but the game doesn’t seem to recognize the edited save file. it only gives me the option for ‘new game’ no continue. I can see the save file in the ‘save data utility’ folder on the ps3 (axton – level 55) but when I load the game theres only the option for new game. any suggestions?

      They are if you edit them with stuff FROM Dragon Keep. Like, you can make a modded Dragon Keep gun, but without any other DLC.

    OK i have a problem here, every time i try to run the program it wont load. it acts like it is gonna start and then nothing i have microsoft’s .net framework but still nothing. this is my first time downloading this program and i am totally new to this so if i am doing something wrong please let me know i really want to mod my game but cant :(. thank you.

      Using any apps like Game Booster? Many of the system enhancing apps block services from the Evil Empire, and .NET apps like this will hang, waiting for the service. (Catch 22)

      never mind on my earlier question. i found the dugcanfoff calculator in gibb which is a great little tool to try different options and see their effect. just wish it calculated beyond level 50.

    1. Thank you for this program. I’ve been using it two weeks and have thought myself quite a bit.
    2. I have a question: Is it possible to increase/decrease the number of golden keys? I’ve noticed there are two areas in the program that mention Golden Keys. One is labeled “NumGoldenKeysNotified”; the other one is further down the page and is labeled “Unknown47, where you click on the word Collection (or the down arrow to the right) and bring up a sub-menu that let’s you add golden keys, but any changes in these two areas does not carry over into the Profile.bin file.
    3. I’m asking because I had discovered that you can save a copy of the profile.bin file, spend your golden keys, and copy the file back. However, I was half asleep today and copied the wrong file and lost 127 keys.

      you can change the number of gold keys you have my modding your GPD with a profile editor, but not with this tool, this is a save editor.

      make sure you click the save type as xbox 360 ps3 or pc down in file type when you are selecting the file to open i had this same problem

    So I got my save on a usb and when I try to use bruteforce it says the key is unreadable I tried making a new save to see if the data was corrupted and it did the same thing I used ps3 resign it seems to decrypt it fine but when I try to load the save using r179 it gives me the invalid SHA1 hash error I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while now any ideas? I followed multiple tutorials exactly and can’t seem to get it to work

      So I got bruteforce to work after uninstalling and reinstalling then I edited my save with no problem went back to try and add a few things after I tested it and now I get SHA1 error even though the file is decrypted any ideas?

    Gibbded editor is not fully compatible with Russian version of the game.
    While modding save file and adding some DLC loot (e.g. Swordsplosion, granade mods or artifacts from Tina’s Dragons) all items appear in English version of the game and I may use them. When launching rus version – all items disappear (they are deleted, so) I don’t even see them and I have to craft them again for playing in Eng vers.
    can this be solved or I have to resign myself)

    So for example, i just got done playing with my buds last night, gotta a couple levels while playing with them but wanted to go from 54-55 and level all my guns to my current level. When i left my buddys game we were on the mission “tree Hugger”. so he left and save the game w/e. so i close out of borderlands 2 and edit my stuff to what i want. When i load the game back up it says current mission, “tree hugger”, Story misison “My first Gun”
    What does it keep doing this? we just started UVHM. Why can i not continue from where we all left off at? why does it throw me to the very beginning on my own?
    im on a PC BTW

      What version of Gibbed are you running? There was an issue with with playthroughs resetting on UVHM with R176.

        179, the most current. It let me join his game in UVHM tonight and continue questing. but all my old quests from TVHM were present including his from UVHM. After we did some quest he logged then i tried to start a game of my own and i was back to square one
