  1. Grimhound says:

Question. Is there any way to use this editor to change which NPCs spawn at the train station after the whole Zaford/Hodunk quest chain?

  2. Suave says:

How I put a Mechromancer head in my inventory? When I click new item, and then a head, it has a red box outlining the ‘type’.

    • Kreep says:

When you go into the editor, before you click new item, there’s a drop down icon on the right of the icon, click that, then the “Mechromancer” dlc, then you can make any Mech item you want.

      • Kreep says:

I mean “there’s a drop down icon on the right of the Item icon” I forgot to put the word Item in there. :L

  8. John says:

the error concerning “an exception was thrown (press ctrl+c to copy):……” seems to be tied to the “spell” grenades and possibly some other tiny tina DLC items (like the antagonist shield?). thought this information would help.
as a work around, people can transfer their items to second character via splitscreen and save, then should be able to open the original character (as long as all item effecting the gibbed program are removed).
i noticed this when booting up a save of mine, getting the error, hitting okay, and seeing that my shield (the antagonist) and my spell (magic missle) werent showing in the backpack’s equipped section.

    hope this helps!

    • Russ says:

Its also possible that, since this version was packaged before the add-on was officially releases, a minor change in the add-on coding could ultimately create this error. It is possible that it could be an unexpected item code or even being located within the play bounds of Tiny Tina’s Assault will cause the error due to the aforementioned items being even present.

    • Pusher says:

      Doent work for me 🙁

      • Russ says:

It seems like very many people are having this same problem. Although we should all know Rick is doing his best to fix this error. The Claptrap Stash does not appear on Gibbed, which would lead me to assume, as I have not tried yet, that if we place the Assault gear into the Stash, would the editor overlook the stash and allow Gibbed to then open and be able to edit the file? I have not tried this yet but I will respond when I can either confirm or deny this claim.

        • Russ says:

The claim is false, I just tested it now, it gave me the same error.

        • Aluminium says:

I have done this. the problem i found so far is the magic missle grenade. It was in my inventory and it wouldnt open so i moved it to claptraps secret stash and i could then open my save. so for some reason that item is not working.

          • tjwoosta says:

Its not just the magic missle grenade, it happens with any grenade, shield, class mod, relic, or skin from the tina dlc (only on xbox, other platforms have no issues). If you transfer the items to another character, or drop them, or put them in claptraps stash the save will load up into the editor correctly again.

i know i might sound a broken record, i’m new for this editor. anyway’s How does one Give skill points? or Mod skills in anyway shape or form? as they Return to either 0 or what it was originally

    • Ryan says:

Go to Raw section of editor and scroll down until you find Skills Data. Open Skills Data and add skill points to whatever skills you want then press ok. You have to edit the skills in this way now.

  15. Nimble Cat says:

I created a Mechromancer save and leveled it to 50 to play the new expansion in True Vault Hunter, but now my character isn’t gaining experience at all. I selected the level to 50 then synced experience. I went back in after I created it and added Eridium. Is there a way to fix the save file so it starts accruing experience again? I’m on the PC version.

    • Fluffy says:

Do you have the Ultimate Vault Hunter DLC? If not 50 is the level cap. If you do, press “sync” beside your skill points. You could be at level 50 with 100xp which would require thousands upon thousands of experience in order to catch up.

  16. Devil Trigger says:

Whenever I try to open my save, the editor says “Failed to load save: invalid or unsupported version” and I’m not sure why! I’m on Xbox 360.

  17. Devil Trigger says:

Nevermind I realized what I was doing wrong. Sorry.

  19. Preston says:

I get “failed to load save: cannot load XBOX 360 CON Files, extract save using modio or equlivent” Yet I used Modio to get my save??

    • Evan says:

You can’t use a save from the Xbox, even after you’ve extracted it. Try downloading a save off of the internet, and then changing it to Xbox 360 format

    • selonianth says:

You need to use Horizon to go into the contents of the save and pull out the file in it named SaveGame.sav That is loadable and moddable in the saveedittor.

  26. Aaron says:

Just tested it out and the message about “Out of Range” has to do with certain items from Tiny Tina’s DLC. Weapons that can not be in your file when opening Gibbed are: Fire Storm, Lightning Bolt, Mysterious Amulet, Magic Missile. If these are in your file it will give that error. Weapons the I have modded and can still mod after Gibbing them are the Fireball and the Orc. These two will not give the error message while the others listed will.

  48. Beefcake says:

OK so how do i add any of the following items to my character?
    Psycho Gearbox skin
    Mechromancer Gearbox skin
    Poker Night 2 customization pieces
Psycho Goliath head from the diamond loot chest

    • trialzero says:

for the psycho items you need click the drop-box down arrow next to the “New Item” button and select “Psycho Pack” for the item to work, same with the mechromancer

as for the PN2 and goliath heads, there doesn’t currently seem to be a way to add those items to your inventory but you can still set your characters head/skin directly in the “Character” tab

      • Beefcake says:

Ok thanks, oh and how can i add DLC stuff for other characters besides the psycho? I’ve noticed that you can unlock the Pirate’s booty, Torque, and Hammerlock heads for the Psycho, labeled DLC 1,2, and 3 BUT none of the other characters have those options, or at least they arent jumping out at me, any help?

  49. Rhynoplaz says:

Just put the new update in, and I get a “Failed to load save, invalid or unsupported version.” These saves worked before Dragon Keep, so I expected to need an update, but v158 gives me the same message. Any ideas?
