Borderlands 2 Save Editor (Revision 153)

Get the new version.

  • Bug fixes and updates to game info (“Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack” DLC) for the current Borderlands 2 patch (1.4.0).
  • Corrected (more) problems with handling of expansion data in packed item data.

Download.

Known problems:

  • Eridium in-editor will show up to 99, the rest is stored in a new value that’s not handled yet.
  • Expansion playthrough number and playthrough completions are also stored in a new value that’s not handled.

            I’m getting a similar screen on my xbox characters. It just says I can’t gain any more experience because the DLC can’t be accessed at this time. It gives me the option to click okay or back and either option takes me into my game. I haven’t had any problem with the game play so far, however.

            Hi Rick, thanks for this great program its brought a new level of gameplay to my experience its awesome!!! Also I have had the same error where is says “this level 61 character requires downloadable content that is not accessible at this time. You will not be able to earn experience beyond level 61 until additional downloadable content that raises the level cap is installed.” I have the season pass and redownloaded the ultimate vault hunter mode just to be sure however no luck. i’m begining to think its just a BL2 issue. Since they have had a error message they got rid of before. Plus technically the error message is right i think since you can’t earn experience points above 61. Have any idea?

            Zack, if you are getting the error of “This level 61 character requires downloadable content not available at this time” because when you set Experience to level 61 then hit sync, it changes the experience points to 5985086. This is too many (So you hve more experience points then are actually available).
            To fix this, set you experience level to Level 61 and experience points to 5985083 manually.

      yeah, but the you have to know the names, such as butcher or storm and you have to have them down under the uvhm dlc.

    Hello,

    I was able to start a new UVHM game with a new character by changing PlaythroughCompleted to 2, I have to save it a couple of times to make it stick.

    When I enter the game I also get the added bonus of playing the tutorial at lv 50

    When I exit the game, PlaythoughCompleted is reverted to 1

    This has the bonus of allowing one to play the tutorial on UVHM

      That is not what is being described in the post, the post is talking about natural (in-game) Eridium gain past 99.

      BUT… when I open up on my other saves, it works fine. is it just because my Siren (the one im modding) is in UVHM and the other ones aren’t? I just find it strange how it worked last night,

    You should for your next update make a delete button or be able to select all and deleted weapons/items. The other thing is have an import/export button that creates a text file with all your weapons in the BL2(…) format

      Right-click -> Delete. No batch deletion but you can delete individual weapons or items.

    Hey, I’ve been using it to edit some saves on PC (works like a dream by the way). other than one problem. I’m playing the game for maybe 10 or so minutes (this only occurs when im in combat) and it saves and says that I’ve “run out of video memory, the game will not close”. this never occurred until i began editing the saves, and I’m not quite sure what to do about it.

    Noticed a problem when I tried to create the 4 new Ancient Relics (Blood/Bone/Skin/Heart of the Ancients) I picked from the dropdown list of valid parts for each one, but two of them (skin and heart) apparently got deleted when I loaded up the game. Maybe check all four to make sure the list of valid parts are correct?

      For example, Skin of the Ancients. (GD_Gladiolus_Artifacts.A_Item.Artifact_ResistanceProtection)

      Did a test on some combinations to see what did what, by taking a working item and making enough duplicates of that item to try out every entry in each dropdown list. I did not test every possible combination of effects, that would’ve taken forever.

      For Manufacturer, The dropdown gives me the choice between GD_Manufacturers.Artifacts.Artifact_TypeB, C, and D. Type B caused the item to be deleted, and there seemed to be no difference between C and D.

      The list of First, Second, Third, and “Grade” effects are all fine and I did not find any entries that caused an item to be deleted.

      The entire list of Fourth effects caused the item to be deleted unless set to “None”. Perhaps one of the other effects needs to be set to “None” or some other combination of settings for this list to work? I didn’t try.

    i downloaded R151, R152 and R153 but when i extract the save editor it says it and a couple other files are corrupted? i had R146 and it worked fine any help would be appreciated.

      Worked fine for me out of the box… If the CRC of the .zip is OK, the only requirement that I know of is that you must have installed the full .NET Framework 4 package. Try installing/reinstalling it and see what happens…

    Found a bug when you create a relic, it is deleted from your BackPack.

      This used to happen with the allegiance relics when you edited to the maximum so the relic must have 3 effects… If you run it on the duncanfogg’s calculator it shows fine, but when you do it in the editor and load the save, it disappears… I post this on the previous version but nobody answer… Happen to you with the allegiance relics or other type? for the rest worked ok for me…
      Hope Rick could answer us to know if is really a bug or is it wrong the duncanfogg’s calculator…

          Stockpile worked for me… Here is a code for a Rare grade 15 stockpile relic. I’m using it, so it must work for you too…

          Try dupe and edit this one. I recommend to choose different effects for each parameter. It’s doesn’t give you a better percentage if you concentrate all three parameters on one effect.
          And for the “Blood of the Ancients” I don’t know… Never heard of it. If is a hacked item may be not fully compatible…

        Actually for the allegiance relics, u cannot put all 3 effects cuz it goes only from type a to type f. Type a: enable first effect; type b:enable second; type c: enable thrid effect; type d: enable first + second; type e: enable first + third; type f: enable second + thrid. So, unfortunatly, theres no type g for all 3 together ):

          But if you link to the duncanfogg’s gear calculator from the backpack or bank tab, you can build (virtually it seems) this kind of relics, and in the preview you can se 3 full effects… That confused me. I really wanted that!! This is an example of what I’m talking about:

    Running on Steam with all the patches, mechromancer DLC, season pass and UVHM. So far so good (except that issue of the eridium counter that you are already aware of). I don’t tested the alliance relics (b153) to see if that disappearing problem has been fix. Thanks again for sharing your work!
