This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    Does anyone know of or has anyone ever seen the rocket launcher that shoots one big missile that shoots out like a hundred smaller missles…A guy i just played with had it and it had ungodly damage (43000 x 17 or something like that). It looked like an eridian weapon but was missing a few parts it looked like a barrel and a grip thats all. I would appreciate it if someone could get me the parts for it. I just want to have it cuz Im kinda a weapon collector lol.

    Hey guys I was wondering if I can get some help in creating a minigun type of weapon.
    Basically something that fires really quickly, firing multiple rounds per shot (like the Heavy’s Minigun), I don’t care about damage or accuracy.
    Mandatory:
    Dove Barrel

    So what parts in combo give you the best rate of fire?
    Rapid firing shotgun?
    Multishot Support Machine Gun?

      I would go with multishot machine gun. I have yet to see a high-firerate shotgun, but machineguns can reach 15 or higher. Look around for a high-firerate gun to build upon and customize. On page 14, semtex posted his twisted bitch. You can take that and start off by converting it’s type into a machinegun. Using a lot of Carnage barrels (gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Barrel.barrel3_Carnage) adds damage but reduces accuracy.

        Semtex’s TWISTED BITCH is all you need, and is basically what you are looking for ready-made. I prefer a machine-pistol version, it can cut down through the destroyer on play-through two in three seconds.

    All you new modders: Ill be brief (but ill let you do all the figuring out, cant stifle yer creative minds on settling for my guns!) These are all “natural guns” as in no revolvers that shoot infinite rockets while making your shlong grow 3 inches at the same time and bringing back your dead dog from Fable 2.
    Prefixes affect weapon characteristics… True. Example: I took a one of my custom guns and the comparison between a Battle Stomper and a Genocide Stomper was a difference of over 100+ dmg per bullet.
    Titles affect gun weapon characteristics… True. Example: I was fiddling around with my snipers and couldnt get my Torgue high powered snipers to do max elemental damage aside from changing the material type to Maliwan but with losing dmg. By changing a Torgue Liquid Sniper to a Liquid Wrath I upped the elemental dmg from 2x to 4x. This also depends on having the proper weapon accessories for maximum elemental damage potential.
    Body, grip, mag, sight, barrel, stock, and action (only for repeaters) affect weapon preformance… Obviously, but ill let you guys fiddle with that. With no name changes I made a purple weapon a dark orange weapon with the right combo of parts and got varying levels of dmg just by changing the mag type or action type for repeaters. I love my dark orange TMP88/V3 Nasty Rage with 4x scope. It shoots 2 bullets with the right accessory.
    Material affects weapon preformance… Oh yeah. Example: try taking your favorite guns and making a crimson or red hyperion (lvl3, or 2) and iron or steel torgue (also lvl3, or 2) versions and compare your results with a pen and paper.
    So… final example: Hyperion Fatal Matador with 3x scope I use for sniping. Yep, I use my shotgun for sniping. 12×368 dmg and 86.3 accuracy w/ a 1.9 firerate. =) I dont even need to rely on corrosive damage to take down a group of lvl 51 BadMutha Machinists on Crimson Fastness anymore.

    I also created all the best shields of all types and got a fullset of mods I have not been able to find better versions of, but u can Email me @ bwazowie@gmail.com for more info.

    OH btw, easy way to copy and paste weapon into… just click into one of the cells on the editor, highlight the entire cell, and copy it. I found this out by accident when trying to copy a single cell… I STILL cannot figure out how to do that… it copies all the cells on that row… as you can see here ^_^ annoying, but still has its uses, as you can see.

    Oh and BTW, Twisted Bitch is still far superior in many situations, and has absolutely no lag at all when using bullets (SMG type).

    Oh and add me in game… Shnibadabobin… I GET SO LONELY! T_T

      In order to copy one cell you need to double click to open the cell up then highlight whatever is in the cell then right click and copy that way. If you Ctrl+C it copies the entire row.

      Also highlighting the whole row and clicking on the ankh symbol (the thing near top left of input table) it copies what you’ve selected into another row.

    Last night I came across a player who was using a siren and was able to jump high straight up into the air, phase shift, and dash across an entire valley in about 2 seconds. They wouldn’t tell me how it was done, so I’m wondering if anyone here knows anything about modifying the siren this way. Is it possible to cook up a class mod that give super teleporting abilities, or is this a much deeper hack? TIA

      This was probably a trainer. A save editor wouldn’t let you adjust stuff like that.

      It is possible to modify skill levels through the editor, but stuff like jumping higher than normally possible means that it was very likely a hack.

      I’ve seen some stuff in the WillowGame files i think that involved player movement speed and local gravity. I presume by changing those values you could achieve that desired affect? Here’s a “Super Fast Healing!” shield:

      Hey, I made that exact sniper rifle with your parts even though you posted them in some random order, but it doesn’t actually cause any damage. The stats do say 7000 x3 and all the extras. Shoot something and not a scratch.

        My order isn’t random, you can save that in a text file and import with willow tree. The reason the parts seem out of order is because I put many parts where they dont belong, but still function

            No, he is using a different program entirely, as opposed to the program in which this blog post is about in the first place (and therefore, out of order in regards to this topic). All the parts are shown there, except that the mag and grip are also gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Barrel.barrel3_Carnage instead of an actual grip or mag. Everything else gets placed where its supposed to in the typical order. In this case, the first 0 is the equip slot, the second 5 is Quality, and the third 0 is the ammo number at the end.
            And I tried it, it doesn’t do any damage despite what it says. It shoots a cluster of rockets thanks to the combat_shotgun barrel being used. Though I would certainly love it if it did so much ridiculous damage with that multiplier. The reason the damage number is so high is because of using carnage barrels for parts that artificially raise the number as opposed to the actual use.

            In the future James, if you mean to post stats here of all places, you may want to put it in the order in which this program reads the stats…

    Anyone have any solutions for recoil reduction/accuracy bonuses? I’ve been using hyperion weapons with the anaconda barrel, and have turned out a nice 96.1 accuracy smg that does 312×3 + whatever element I throw on it. The problem is, I think accuracy measure how well you can place your first couple of “cold” shots. Recoil reduction and accuracy bonuses would prevent the crosshairs from opening as much.

      for some reason my modded weapons dont open their crosshairs, most have over 95 accuracy.
      the shotguns have 85 and rapid fire:)

      they open up a little bit but if you keep firing they just stay at that spot then cool down to their highest accuracy.

      If you’re talking about ‘Cone of Fire’ then it does only apply to the beginning shots. Recoil is what makes it accurate for longer periods. But really, at that amount of damage, you could spin around firing wildly and kill everything XD

      Using the scope also seems to make a considerable difference in accuracy, where typically out of sights, your crosshair opens to the proper CoF radius and all. Of all the weapons I’ve made, while using sights of any kind made the bullets fire in a tighter pattern regardless of the weapon.

    Oh wow, didn’t know you could do that. If you change the body of a class mod to one that’s for a different class, it actually works! Doubt the secondary effects work (+x to whatever skill), but the primary effects such as ammo regen and mag size increase for a support gunner do.

      the pluses to skills wont work since you need to have atleast 1 point in that skill for them to affect it.

        He means the extras that you can only get using certain class names:

        eg. if you make a class mod for brick and add on some parts with “roland” in them that give +team ammo regen

        It will work for/on brick even though it’s a roland mod. They are generally more useful then the “+X of skillname” and you could probably replace those with the “+ line of text but not skill info here” like liliths +56% SMG Damage would also work.

      What’re you asking? If you can use the save editor, and then play LAN or Online?
      Of course you can.

      If you’re asking if you can LAN and use the save editor at the same time..-
      Dunno why you would. Using the save editor doesn’t make any direct changes while you play. You need to load up your save file each time.

      If you are playing borderlands while editing your save file, it will corrupt if you save it. But you can edit your save file before and after anytime and it will work online/offline

    My question might be very simple, and i hope you can help me with. I’ve made the “Twisted Bitch” SMG, but i want it to fire fully automatic. Ammo should not be the Problem, i’ve changed the Barrel to the “TheDove_barrel4”. So my question ist, which part(s) must i change to get a full-auto-firing Bitch?

      The Carnage barrel that adds huge rate of fire (1800% is max i think) but it also makes weapons use burst fire.

      So the answer is: you can’t have both.

      add this “gd_weap_repeater_pistol.UniqueParts.TheDove_barrel4” to the barrel slot, there shouldnt be a carnage barrel there because that would make it fire rockets.

      maybe you have aproblem with te modification you did on! verify with this web site http://blmodding.wikidot.com/weapons. clic on the type of your weapons and verify if you did not make an error! if you did not make error it’s problem of compatibility with you custom weapon and you must delete or repaer your weapons or your save data

        One suggestion I would make is to make sure you’re not loading into a multiplayer game. Load into a singleplayer game, play around for a minute or two, and then exit. Your guns should stay saved and appear on both multi and singleplayer. Also, while using Gibbed’s editor you have to be careful of not having any extra spaces in a slot. Finally, and I know this sounds stupid, but make sure you’re saving to the right profile, especially if you have backups made in the same folder. I personally have my primary named Dark_Rak3r and all backups called DarkRak3r so I can distinguish between them.

    So he says that each part have it own properties – i looked into save files and found some hexadecimal data after parts description – so i guess it is the one))).
    I wish next version of this program have an editor for those params too – then we will be able to basicaly make any weapon from scratch. Rejoice.

      The Splat Gun and Firebomb do not have anything in the action slots just yet… any suggestions? I’m try to make these guns as legit as possible… I have no idea what the original Firebomb and Splat Gun parts are for Type and Grade. I also have not tested the Elementalgun type. If anybody can provide any information on any of the Eridion weapons, other then Lightning, Shock Gun, Cannon, and the 4 Blasters, please let us all know. So far, I am the VERY first person to post information on the Splat Gun and Firebomb.

      Oh and forget the Fireball, GlobGun, RollingSpattergun, and StampedingSpattergun barrels. Useless parts that are similar to the Firebomb and Splat Gun, but with no spread and stuff.

        I gotta have SOMETHING useful there… I tried the Dove barrel, but it didn’t really do anything.
