Borderlands Save Editor (Revision 10)

This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    I’ve got an AX900 Genocide Cannon that killed the final boss in 1 shot, at level 34… It says it does ‘99999’ damage when it crits, but it does way more than that. I have yet to max it out.

    Could you recheck your latest rocket launcher build info, I’ve entered it twice and I can’t get it to build correctly, I’m missing some parts, the stock is always invisible and the damage is only 1k.

    You should also mention material3. Starting at quality 4, material 3 grants a different secondary effect.
    For instance, on Support Gunner on Roland, the primary “always” effect is team ammo regen. material2 gives it an additional bonus of team magazine size. If you can get the quality to 4 or higher, material3 can also grant a secondary effect (team accuracy) although you cannot have both material2 and material3 bonuses on a class mod.

    I’m still looking for the SVN, but I’ve tried some of the modded versions here and it seems that even the ones based on rev 12 still have the >1MB string error.

    My char does not have any non A-Z | 0-9 characters in her name, but for some reason the name IS in unicode when i look at the save in a hex editor. I tried changing it to normal but nothing works.

    Little help please?

    No more ammo or reload issues since TheDove barrel results in infinite ammo. Given this we could also change the body to something else since we don’t need the Savior ammo regen anymore, but I haven’t tried it out yet and have to head out for the day

    Has anybody figured out how to transfer skills? I’ve been playing around with the editor, and can successfully break a characters skills, but can’t give them new ones.

    Any idea on what character adrenaline or Artifact Mode relate to?

    Please upload your save, the >1MB string error occurs when checking a length prefix…
    It may be that the high-bits of the value are set to specify a different string encoding format, causing the length to appear inflated.

    I tried taking a save file that works and copying the whole name block from that to mine, but the editor still would not read it.

    the byte before the name is 04, then the string is E.i.l.e (4 long)

    The whole save isn’t even a meg lol

    These weapons have all gone pearlescent because of the mods i threw into them. They have 0 Accuracy. But if you point them at something and pull the trigger it WILL die.
    If you use the scope instead of firing 54 projectiles as per normal, it will fire the whole clip in a matter of a few seconds (one second in the case of the machine guns)
    The screenshot here shows me firing the rocket launcher into the sky while scoped. thats a full 216 rockets fired almost simultaneously, each of them doing 20,000+ damage:

    Since i play Siren I used it on a submachine gun, while using the scope i fire 405 bullets per squeeze of the trigger, and if i just spam click im easily firing two full magazines a second. With mercenary mod every bullet is hitting for 4000-6000, so honestly nothing survives.

    Once i get my camstudio encodeing to work with sony vegas 9 ill make a tutorial on weapons, shields, class mods (when i figure them out), grenade mods (easily figured out), and the basics ill be sure to post it when im done if anyone knows why my sony vegas 9 isnt working with my camstudio encodeing then please help i would use hyper cam but i dont really like it.

    really appreciate you putting up the codes for tbitch guns, the dmg is awesome, for newcomers its simple, jus download the save editor from this page, run it and open ur savedata then edit the weapon feilds as per semtex’s posts. semtex its a shame to read you wont be posting here no more, please could you tell us how we can contact you?

    Just a reminder, I have read every single post on this page, and Eridian weapons are STILL unconfirmed/unknown. I’ve personally tried making a Thunder Shotgun (forgot what it was called…) about a week ago, but it it completely failed. I recently found one in New Heaven, and it works PERFECTLY, and the shots bounce off walls and stuff ^_^ I also have the Cannon, Lightning, and Mercurial Blaster. I think it is possible to change the Cannon to a Mega Cannon, but the shot doesn’t look like an awesome bubble like the Cannon does, and the wiki page is WAY off when it says it is -100% fire rate… I can probably fire 3-4 Cannon shots by the time I fire one Mega Cannon shot, if the magazine allows it. BTW, if my Mega Cannon is real, and they really DO eat up a LOT of a magazine, then use 3. Mag3 allows for infinite fire, because it takes up almost the entire mag, and regenerates completely by the time you can fire again (lol at only -100% fire rate…)

    And yes, I have checked the 2 Wiki pages and the Item Database site, and none of them allow a user to successfully make an Eridian weapon from nothing. None of them provide Grade info, which after getting the Thunder Shotgun, I have confirmed to be VERY IMPORTANT and not always easy to guess at.

    I have also tried changing between Blasters, and I found it to be a complete failure. The regular Blaster was the same as the Mercurial Blaster, but it fires slower (IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONFIRM THIS! Somebody posted a Blaster in a previous post… I am too busy to test it right now). Which I find to be a complete waste… and it is, really… same thing, less fire rate… and none of the blasters had homing bullets. The wave did shoot the same shots as that one blind guy’s shotgun. The one that, if I remember correctly, said Ride The Wave. They bounced off a few walls and then had a regular medium sized shock elemental hit on some random surface I never expected.

    As far as I have seen in EVERY post here and in ALL the wiki pages (and that other site, which is not a wiki site), Eridian weapons are impossible to make, but VERY easy to duplicate and to mod with mags and sights. I believe sight1 is no sight… and none of the sights go more then 1x, but they do increase the accuracy.

    That error means he’s trying to open a PS3 save (or possibly a 360 save), which isn’t supported in rev10.

    Thanks Rick. That’s weird: I swear, there are no non-ASCII characters in my character name, but like I said, the name does seem to be in unicode format nonetheless.

    So, any chance an upcoming version will be able to read unicode strings? Alternately, d’you know a way to convert it back into ascii? I’m willing to do some hexing, but previous attempts have failed. Perhaps there is another unicode string somewhere =/

    If you go to load your character, note how the name is not aligned with the level, as if there is a character in front. It appears the character you’ve mistakenly entered is invisible in-game.

    After hacking on UTF16 support into the current code, the name comes out as “ะ’Eile”.

    The latest code on SVN should be able to handle your save now.

    I stand corrected about the Thunder Storm… I didn’t notice that somebody uploaded the information on that to the site, but I find that useless, since how I already have that weapon.

    I see “_Cannon” and “_Shotgun_ThunderStorm” but I do NOT see ANY of the other weapons anywhere on any site. Did anybody know that the Eridian Lightning is a railgun? Didn’t think so… “gd_itemgrades.Weapons_Eridan.ItemGrade_Eridan_Sniper_Railgun”

    Nobody can make one until you know the grade, which NOBODY is uploading anywhere. The only ones you will find online at the moment are the ones I already have. Railgun, shotgun, cannon, (possibly) mega cannon, blaster, and mercurial blaster. The Mega Cannon that I am using is still using the Cannon grade, which I just now realized. I will soon try “_Eridan_MegaCannon” and “_Eridan_Mega_Cannon” to see if either of those will make any change.

    BTW Ranchor, lol at the wiki site you pointed out… yeah it’s got some parts in it, but also some false info. The Thunder Storm is not a combat rifle… neither is the Eridian Lightning…

    Next time I get in game, I’ll put on my rare item chance mod and farm New Heaven for a while to get some more Eridian Weapons. It’s how I got my Thunderstorm in under 3 tries. I found 2 other Eridian weapons in some red chests during playthrough 2, but I don’t remember where I saw them. Also found one back in play 1 within the last hour or so of the game in a red chest… I can’t remember where I was… but it was in plain sight, and it was not outside.

    Sorry for the double post, but I’ve run into the same wall I did before. There are 17 different barrels, and it’s pretty easy matching them with the right grades and other parts, but a few of them are very strange. For example, there are 2 of them that don’t even mention which gun they go to… they just say rifle like the rest of them… and I do not see the Elementalgun barrel. This may take some trial and error, but at least I know it is possible to make the Eridian weapons now. Or should I say… Eridan xD

    The Elementalgun seems to be a flamethrower if you don’t put a special barrel on it, whereas the Fire_Storm seems to fire fireballs unless you use the flaregun barrel. Not sure what it was originally intended to be.
