Borderlands Save Editor (Revision 10)

This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    You don’t think that ‘B’ prefix is a UTF16 BYTE-ORDER preamble, and on PS3 non-english locales would be reversed, and all UTF-16 chars also reversed? 😛

    Is your operating system locale not in the UK or US?
    In Control Panel, in Region and Language…
    What is in the Keyboards and Languages tab, in Change Keyboards (Text Services and Input Languages) menu, under Default input language? (all of them in the drop-down selection, not just the default)
    What is in the Administrative tab (may be diff for diff windows versions), under ‘Current language for non-Unicode programs:’ ?

    I know they do but i like to use them to grenade jump to get out of the map and past barriers.. i had seen som1 post a pic on the gearbox forums they made a shotgun that shot out grenades on the ground and he could just pick them up. kinda lookin for sumptin like that.

    @ juan lopez,
    the weapon proficiency is in the skills tab, somnewhere near the top.
    If you want maxed proficiency, enter lv 50, and 200 000 xp and your bar will e full and not able to rise more =)

    Requires a user/pass for commit, but public appears to be readable.

    I was trying this editor out last night.

    I took a purple Steel Anarchy and tried to add a few legendary attributes to it, like Hellfire, Savior etc. At first the gun was missing parts due to me substituting certain parts with duplicates of different traits. So I then tried to make a complete gun. I had a few nice results but then after one edit the gun lost its level even though quality was set at 3. After that I couldn’t get the level to come back. Anyone know why that happened and how to fix it? Also during the entire process the gun stayed purple, I’m under the assumption that once enough rare parts are added it should change colors, to orange or pearl. Any help would be appreciated.

    Request for Rick: for us non-coders it would be nice if there was some directions as to how to build a gun. I’m also trying to find out the rules that limit what a gun can or can’t have, ie. when you have 2 barrel pieces but no stock you’ll end up with a gun that has no stock etc.

    Pretty much designed this for Brick players. Counts as an explosive weapon for Bricks skills, has infinite ammo, and also has chimera properties so will proc elemental effects.

    pepperjack some weapons manufacturers are already a high quality so if u have them at 5 it might make them over level 50 which comes up as a blank level…

    now for my problem im trying to make a hunter mod with +4 rare item or better if some1 has somethign like +20 team find rare items that would be epic post the code for me if u got it! thanks!

    I found this gun today , It is basic and pretty sweet first assault shotgun I have scored since I got the save editor. I am trying to make a high damage shotgun with a high rate of fire, and for the heck of it drop in a 40 round smg mag. I was trying sledges shotty, and various hunter shotties, but then i found THIS, pretty sweet base stats to steal and add to, BUT, something is wrong with the accuracy, UNMODIFIED the accuracy # does not match the spread. I will say again the following PIC and build info is UNMODIFIED.

      ‘Drop the hammer’ means the the pellets will always shoot in a hammer pattern.

      This is like the ‘have a nice day’ text that shoots smiley faces, or the cross one, or the one that shoots a horizontal line.

    If the gun loses it’s damage and level, that usually means an incompatible Manufacturer. Try changing it to a compatible manufacturer. Materials are fine but not manufacturer.

      Oh, thank you very much. It worked once I tested a few of the manufacturers. Does the manufacturer effect the weapon? Or is it only the manufacturer of the material and the grade of that material?

        Material & grade will still give their bonuses, but only the Manufacturer field can break your gun. It only affects the display, as far as I can tell.

    In the skills tab (the weapon proficiency tab i’m assuming) It has 4 options…Name, Level, Experience, and Artifact number. What information do I put in those 4 slots to max each weapon proficiency?

    I’m accidentally erased my save data so I’m trying to re-create the guns I had before;
    Anyway, I’m trying to re-make my Pestilent Defiler Revolver, but I can’t seem to add the accessory.
    Another problem is that (without the accessory) the Prefix “Pestilent” doesn’t work.
    If anyone could fix my code, it would be greatly appreciated;

    Has anybody found a x4 shock elemental besides the orion accessory? I have a nice shotgun that I am using hellfire and defiler corrosive accessories on and want to make a third with shock, or possibly explosive if that’s any easier. I do NOT want to change the material to maliwan, as the shotguns are hyperion and super accurate. If anyone likes, I can post it here. Maybe I’ll add it to the weapon and item database.

      For explosive, the best I found to add x4 is the following line and sorry..I don’t like shock so I’ve never looked into it

    Has anybody heard of Pearl weapons? They come before the gold and orange colored weapons and have high damage and stuff. Some people claim to have them.

    Also, has anybody noticed the lime green Claptrap at Fyrestone, hidden in the mountains?

    Pearl weapons are generally made by the altas corporation and dont have their own color. The one i have is a dark orange however, and is pretty darn good for a legit item.

    1.01 patch was released… those on pirated copies don’t patch yet until a new crack is released..

    Heya! The “New Character” for me isn’t working. It lists all 4 but only Brick is available, the other three are greyed out so I can’t create a new Hunter unless I want the Hunter to start with a shotgun instead of a sniper rifle. 😛

    The RELOADED release of the 1.01 patch will work, it includes the update + patch.

    I tested it a few hours ago and it worked just fine.
