Hi There – great program – we appreciate all the hard work!

Will you be adding support for a cross save from PC to PS4? Like a lot of people I moved consoles on the generation switch and would love to use your tool to help make the jump to my PS4.

    • Px Plays says:

They are trying! Thanks for your supoort! I speak for the creators on this. Just upload and download a modded save to your next generation conssole. It works add me on Xbox one , Px Plays thamk you have a good day.

      • Brenden says:

I am having the same problem too, the .zip file shows but it will not start up.

        • jjjjjjj says:

Make sure you extract it from the zip. The EXE cannot find the data for the save editor when inside a zipped folder.

i cant open a PS3 file on gibbed for tps if i try to open my save i get an error SHA1
            i used bruteforce

        • GT: Xbox one: Px Plays says:

if you are using a windows pc or laptop you r fine. if you are using a strict chrome laptop this will not wok bcuz it does not allow you to open .ziparcheive files, whle if your using windows just right click on the file and then decompress it. alowwing u 2 open the borderlans save editor mod too. i hope this will work! you will need horizion and or modio. use that to but your .save001 on your desktop and modding you personal character. WARNING people have gotten there character (gunzerker or anyother) deleted bcuz of putting more then 99999 things in the storage or backpack. have a good day

  3. byron says:

For those getting the error Failed to load save: invalid or unsupported version when opening XBOX360 or PS3 saves; make sure you change the type of save you are opening from the drop-down box above the [Open] button.

  4. CokeMaster says:

When i “mod” a gamesave and upload it to xbox one, is it possible to get banned for doing this? Can they just “scan” your gamesave for some “fishy” stuff and ban you?

  5. RorDB says:

I a save has ever been on ‘The Hansome Collection’ / been used on the cross save, it wont edit thus dosent work. Plz find a way around and fix this. Tnx

    • GT: Xbox one: Px Plays says:

you first need to put your 360 save on the computer. mod it. put on the 360 and upload/download charchter on the next gen console. must be signed into same ShiFT account.

  7. Talamar1 says:

I used the editor a few times to just tweak a few missions. I decided to be naughty and test the Sync All button, now when ever I try to continue my game, it crashes the game. (PC version).

  8. Julian Ferran says:

When I try to open a save with this it shows up an error saying:

Failed to load save: cannot load XBOX 360 CON files, extract save using Modio or equivalent

    • Noah Goguen says:

Download the program Horizon and use that to extract your gamesave

      Link to Horizon:
      http://www.xboxmb.com/horizon/
Just click the green download button. After you have that downloaded plug in the flashdrive (or whatever you’re using to move the gamesave between your computer and xbox) then open horizon. After that follow the below steps.

      1. Click the down arrow on your device in the right column
      2. Click on games
      3. Click on Borderlands 2
      4. Drag the gamesave into the space to the left of the column
      5. Click on the contents tab

After all of that is done make sure you have two different folders that you know you can find the file from. Right click on SaveGame.sav and hit extract, extract this file into one of the two folders you just made. Open the gibbed save editor and open that file instead of the one you were trying to open. After you’re done editing save the newly edited SaveGame.sav into the second folder you made. Go back to horizon (If you closed horizon follow steps 1 – 6 again) and once you’re back at the contents tab right click the SaveGame.sav. Click replace and find the edited SaveGame.sav that you saved into the second folder and replace the current SaveGame.sav that is in the actual borderlands 2 save with the new modded SaveGame. Hit the orange Save, Rehash, and Resign button and you’re all done. All you do after that is move the xbox save from the device back onto your xbox and play on the modded save.

  17. Tremere says:

Hello and thank you for creating this great tool!

Before I this situation out, I’m perfectly prepared to accept that this may be happening due to my lack of knowledge about this tool and how it works. With that in mind, I recently tried to create a “Breach Rifle/Carbine”. This is an assault rifle with a bayonet attached. Once I added all the parts (as referenced in the Gear Caluculator), I got an error in the prefix area that prevented the weapon from being created and in fact removed it from my inventory. (Thank goodness for backups and memory.) The prefix that Gear Calculator provided was:

    GD_Weap_AssaultRifle.Name.Prefix_Dahl.Prefix_Bayonet_2

This immediately produced a red frame around the Prefix entry and the name of the weapon didn’t acknowledge the change. I tried changing the number to 1 as was shown in the Gear Calculator, but this did nothing.

If there is some solution to this, I’d appreciate you sharing it with me. Otherwise, please consider this a bug report. In any case, thank you in advance for your time and energy.

For the record, I went back and looked at this again. I’m inclined to think that this problem has to do with a disconnect between GSE and Gear Calculator. I say this because there have been instances where Gear Calculator his incorrectly identified components of weapons.

Never mind, problem solved: for anyone else having the same issue where you see the game saves on the right tab, don’t directy extract that, doubleclick on it and a window should pop up. click on that windows ‘content’ tab and there should b a file named ‘gamesave.sav’ or something along those lines, extract that instead.

    Thanks for the mod!

One problem that I can’t seem to figure my way around, all the characters I produce with save-edittor, can’t seem to level past 60. If I stick a level of say 61, 60, 65 or whatever, they can’t go beyond that despite having the legit copies of all the DLC’s?

I have gibbed downloaded but the next time I try to open it, it will not open. So what I end up doing is downloading gibbed again just to open it again. Why doesn’t it open?

  33. Rafael says:

The Save Editor is doing the exact thing that it would do to me a couple of months ago when I downloaded it. It just doesn’t want to open. Just to get an idea of whats happening:

    I download the Save Editor.

I move the zipped file over to my Desktop.

I click the “Extract All” option on the file.

    I open the unzipped file.

(This is where the problem starts)
I double click on the Gibbed Save Editor. I click the “Yes” option when asked if I’m sure I want to open this file, but after 5-10 minutes nothing opens. So then I go back to the file, but instead of double clicking I right click and choose to “Run as Administrator”. A different box opens, but still asks if I’m sure I want to open this file, where as I choose “Yes” again, but after 5-10 minutes of waiting, nothing opens still.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Have any tips that would help my problem? Or am I just not compatible with Gibbed Save Editor anymore (if that’s even a possibility)? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    • Px Plays says:

Do you have nortan installed. Or a chorme book. The editor does not install in which it is a zip. file, and will not download with these publishers.

    • PsychoFox says:

This sounds like plausible of problems, but Im not sure, Im just guessing. It sounds like either you’re not paying attention to where you are saving the file, or if you’re pressing “open” instead of save when downloading, you might not have a proper program. You could try something like 7zip if you are opening it from location, or possibly try “save as” and make sure you pay attention to where you are saving it and work from there.. If the none of that is the problem, then you might have a AV program or some add-on on your browser, or possibly a firewall setting, that might be blocking you from being able to download this. Check through some of that as well, if you have to temporally disable, then give that a quick try. Otherwise, Im clueless.

I have a problem. I play on ps3 and am trying to mod my game save. I am successful in taking the game save from my console on to my USB then my computer and loading into the gibbed editor. After I mod the game save I update it fully and encrypt it but when I go and overwrite my previous game save with the new one it says that the file is corrupted. Any suggestions?

    • PsychoFox says:

This is just a guess, check your gibbed file to make sure you don’t have anything incorrect on it. All values are what they’re supposed to be, and make sure you’re adding in content that matches the version of your console.

  50. PsychoFox says:

Null and void this, figured out what I was doing wrong. For future people reading this, if your copying a code to add weapons or items to your backpack or bank, make sure you copy BL2 (whatever code is displayed here), to clearify, I mean copy from BL2 straight through to the last bracket of the code, in order to use the paste.
