The save editor cannot do anything about in-game limitations.

      • Dropmallnight says:

  10. Pyrex says:

It’s not allowing me to create any of the new items from the latest DLC. It will recognize them, and I can copy and edit them if I already have found a DLC item, but whenever I attempt to create one by clicking “new weapon” or “new item” it shows a red box error in the “type” field.

  11. fromDdark says:

    getting the following when starting up;
    Error
    —————————
An exception was thrown (press Ctrl+C to copy):
System.ComponentModel.Composition.CompositionException: The composition produced a single composition error, with 2 root causes.
The root causes are provided below. Review the CompositionException.Errors property for more detailed information.
    1) Could not load file or assembly ‘Gibbed.BorderlandsOz.ProtoBufFormats, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null’ or one of its dependencies.
The system cannot find the file specified.

  12. Apocalypse says:

Weird errors whenever i try to edit some items for example any purple turtle shields will automatically assume the prefix “pouncing” regardless of parts used

  13. Smokey says:

I’ve been using Gibbed since last year and everything was well up till now. Seems if I open any Gibbed save editors, it crashes my PC. Would be appreciative for some help ASAP

  14. crashuct says:

    thx 4 work

  15. Fragcys says:

I get save file *corrupted* whenever I launch the game after edit. I can’t open the save file in the editor either once saved. I get error; “Failed to load save: LZO decompression failure (InputOverrun)” in the save editor.

  16. JIEZER says:

still not working get it sorted!!!!!!KEEPS SAYS AN EXCEPTION WAS THROWN (PRESS CTRL+C TO COPY) AND giving a lot of rubbish why it won’t open and Norton wont allow the program to run Evan though i have excluded it from being detected from the Norton 360 !!!!!!! PS very unprofessional for taking this long to get it sorted whats happening to you rick i thought better of you lol (joking) get it sorted but please thanks

    • Rick says:

I cannot do anything about AV software.

      • JIEZER says:

thats what im sayin the fault is in your program the revision 6 works fine but it dosent let me make any of jacks stuff ect hence the reason why am tryin to download the updated version dont want to heer problems rick just solutions lol Ps Get is fixed wee need gibbed NOWWW !!!LOL

      • JIEZER says:

thats what im sayin the fault is in your program the revision 7 works ok except you cant do anything with jacks items except upgrade the level but thats why i need the updated version

        • Rick says:

If your AV software is quarantining or deleting parts of the save editor, I can’t do anything about that.

          • Steve says:

You have to ensure that each component of the save editor is restored and excluded from quarantine. There are several components of the save editor r23 that gets quarantined.

    • Nicotine says:

      Hey JIEZER,

You’re a douche… grow a pair. Last I checked this program is free so quit your bitching.

      • Yokoshima says:

This. Seriously JIEZER the is a free program that rick did in his own free time. If you have an issue with it go make your own. Or do the world a favor and find a nice tall building to jump off of, because if you are this idiotic an entitled at (I am guessing) 10 years if age you are too far behind to catch up.

On another note, works fine for me Rick and I have Norton. Thanks for your work and best of luck to you.

  17. travis says:

every time i try to open my save from ps3 it says failed to to load save: invalid key hash

  18. Kevin says:

this new update from 12/19 worked fine for me last night on 12/19 after I downloaded it. but today 12/20, it will not open at all when clicking it in windows. it seems others are having problems on 12/20 as well when it worked fine on 12/19. just a thought.

  19. Alex says:

    Yes!!! Thank you Rick!!!

  20. Josh says:

Can’t make any of the new items, and I still can get any of Jack’s class mods made as well. Something going on?

  21. Zendor says:

Hey I’m still having the same issue where I go to edit my save file and then I save it as the same name. Load up into the game and it says my files corrupted and that it loaded the back up. I had my friend help me troubleshoot by updating the .bak files dynamically with gibbed but then they were both corrupted! This has been happening since updates after revision 7, and the revision 7 only worked the first time I used it. It just corrupts everytime no matter what I do it always happens. I know you guys are trying to make some sort of “Verify Save” program to fix this but if you know whats going on right now I would appreciate a fix.

Thanks for your guys’ hard work!

    • badfrog says:

what operating system are you running?

      • Zendor says:

I am using Windows 10 Technical Preview(Its not the most stable of things with its latest update) but it shouldn’t be interfering.

        • Edward IV says:

I’m also running the Windows 10 Technical Preview and I have the same issue since Windows 10 updated to Build 9879. I think all prior builds work properly. Attempting to open the corrupt save file with the editor gives an error message stating that there was a LZO decompression failure (InputOverrun).

  22. james says:

when i try to open my game save i get this..

    —————————
    Error
    —————————
An exception was thrown (press Ctrl+C to copy):

    please help

  23. Equash says:

When I extract it and run the application, (even as administrator) it deletes itself after a couple seconds.

  24. Steve says:

Thanks for the hard work again Rick. I really appreciate it.

  25. JIEZER says:

SORRY RICK !!! MANAGED TO SORT IT OUT aha im a absoloute creten lol. my norton 360 was blocking my download file to open if that helps anybody with that problem – go into norton 360 – settings – firewall settings – programs rules – then make sure the following program is allowed – C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\downloads\fileopenersetup.exe <<<<< change from block to allow restart your computer and thats how minw worked – the (xxxxxxxxxxxx)—is your computername

  26. badfrog says:

does this work with windows tech preview/win1o yet?

    • badfrog says:

      guess not.

    • Rick says:

I’ve tried the save editor in several versions of the WTP in VMs and it has worked fine in each, whatever the problem people are encountering is, it’s not directly related to WTP itself.

      • badfrog says:

in WTB, it runs, it seems like it is fine, it saves, but any save made with it is corrupt when I try to select that save game in steam.
even if I just open the file and save it again, without making changes, it says its corrupt.

this scenario is true for both the pre sequel editor and the B2 editor

        • badfrog says:

          oops.. wtb=wtp

          and it’s build 9879

          • CidAshworth says:

I am having the same problem, same build. It always loads from the .bak file.

Just an amateur guess, but might it have something to do with the profile.bin file? and the date modified/created info? I have been trying various scenarios, but no luck.

  27. badfrog says:

    VerifySaves.exe crashes in Win10/tech Preview.

  28. Anm says:

I get the following error message after trying to open a save file (previously decrypted on Bruteforce):

    Help!

  29. Bret says:

Been following your site since I found the Borderlands 2 editor. I won’t be getting The Pre-Sequel until they bundle everything up as a GOTY Edition, but just wanted to say thanks for working on an editor for the game and looking forward to using it when I get the game. Really appreciate the work you put into the last one, keep it up!

  30. HylianZ says:

Hi. Love your stuff! I’ve noticed an issue where if I try to join someone online after editing, it gets stuck on “Sending character data to host, Please wait”. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    • HylianZ says:

Did some testing and found that it was the Overpower level causing it. I don’t even remember changing that, but I guess I did. Oh well… Put it back to “0” and now it works fine. Probably nothing you could do about that anyway, since it’s the game not recognizing the OP level as feasible or something. Thanks for the great editor!

  31. Jak says:

When I download gibbed then try to run it, Norton is like nah and says its unsafe, then automatically deletes the program/renders it unusable? Any way to stop that?

    • BarkBarkWoof says:

Change your settings to ask you what to do or when the red box comes up go to more details. Then restore the file on the bottom. it’s not a button just the work restore. A window comes up asking if you want to exclude the file make sure you have it checked..I think there’s two files that come up.

    • Zendor says:

It will say it quarantines the file but when the pop up comes up you should be able to allow it (Haven’t used norton in a long time so I may be wrong)

    • badfrog says:

disable norton for 15 minutes while you edit your files

  32. Jones says:

    Hey! Love your stuff.

Other than the fact that when I input how many keys, I still need to log in shift to retrieve them.

  33. andy says:

Whenever i try to open it it doesn’t open. I have Microsoft net 4.1.5 and I’ve tried running as administrator but it hasn’t worked.

  34. BarkBarkWoof says:

I too had a problem with the installation. You have to exclude the files in your AV software and restore them from quarantine.

  35. Frick says:

I’m using Windows 10 as well. No matter what I try for compatibility mode or running as an admin, this version corrupts the save file and kills it.

  36. Zendor says:

[Edit to previous post] I tried to edit a save file in gibbed then before trying to open it in TPS I opened it again in The save editor and this is the message it gives me when I try to open that same save file “Failed to load save: LZO decompression failure (InputOverrun)”

    • Zendor says:

BTW I’m using Windows 10 TP Build 9879. This new build is really unstable and crashes a few of my games(not TPS) just a little note on the side.

  37. RyanEmbick says:

why was this flaged as a virus Gibbed team. I know u guys do hard work making us happy.

    • Rick says:

There’s no team, it’s just me. And I don’t know and don’t care. AVs have false positives all the time. If you don’t trust my binary build, you’re more than welcome to grab the code and compile it yourself.

  38. Tacanonater3 says:

so my game crashes at the start when it tells you to press a key and after that it loads and when it gets to loading default player it crashes and then a message pops up it says fatal error and a but load of stuff pops up saying some files were not found i tried loading the back up file but it didn’t work. somebody told me its because i messed with the raw part of the gibbed save editor and thats all i know i dont know what to do ive tried the verify the integrity of game cache and it says all the files are there ive tried deleting the game and re installing it and it still doenst work anybody got suggestions and can you help me

  39. RyanEmbick says:

  42. luis says:

can someone make a vid explaining how to use the RAW tab

  43. brudevo says:

Thanks again Rick for the quick revision, have used willow tree in BL1, but when I found your editor for BL2 I found it so much easier to use.I don’t know why people blame the editor when it doesn’t work for them, it works for 100’s of us so its not the editor. Thanks for spending the time to keep doing this, much appreciated.

  44. Dakota Johnson says:

I’ve tried to open it many times, yet it won’t open. it doesnt say anything it just won’t open.

  45. Teemow says:

Hey there.. im wondering how i can make the modded savegames work in LAN-Networks? there is a thing called verify data but when i click it, it gives me an error code that something is missing…also i dont know if its the right thing to do when i want to make my modded save working in lan…^^

  46. daairman says:

  47. xmasxemnas2012 says:
