Borderlands 2 Save Editor (Revision 219)

Get the new version.
Hotfix to fix saving of vehicle skins.

  • Adding new entries to collections in the Raw tab should now work properly instead of causing errors.
  • Can now edit overpower level.
  • Added keyboard shortcut for item duplication.
  • Backpack and bank sync buttons now synchronize to level + overpower level.
  • Corrected maximum level to 72.
  • Can now import data into your save from other saves.
  • Many other fixes (see revisions.txt).
  • Fixed saving of vehicle skins.

    Hi, is there a way to move all weapons (30 something) to another character? What I do right now is to copy all the codes and then paste them to my new character, but that’s slow as fuck.

    hey, the last verson of this editor that i used was version 197, and now im using 219, i’ve had the same problem with both of them, when ever i click the ‘raw’ tab it never loads. any ideas?

      It’s seems to be the net framework you installed. what os are you using & is it on windows or mac?.

        im on windows. im not sure what you mean by net framework, or ‘os’. when i first started uing the save editor r159 the raw tap and everything worked fine, & i havent changed my version of brute force or anything

    I have a question but its more of an ‘if possible’ and ‘howto’ if it is possible.

    Now that we’re 72OP55 and the game is capped at OP8 even if you start the game as all OP used. Enemies are still OP8 and no higher, so is loot.

    All my gear is 72OP55 as well. so cheasy yet so fun ๐Ÿ™‚ but i’ve noticed my turrent has not killed anything because the turrent is technically still 72op8 which is 80 and enemies are 80-82.

    Is there a way to bump the turrent up higher? All my skills are maxed out only only thing that kills enemies are the nuke when first launched.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

      My advice…. Stop using OP55 gear… Its ridiculous…

        Short answer no, when you op your lvl to op55 its the gear & your char so the turret remains at lvl 72 op8 but like DOMIN8 has said “dont” use op55 gear its stupid because you’re not going to achieve anything, as for the loot you can get it legitly or by the gib.

    I want to know how to fix this
    my friend is trying to tell me how to use this but when i try it keeps popping up when i click on the Gibbed.Borderlands2.SaveEdit.exe and saying that the “Gibbed’s Borderlands 2 save editor has stopped working”, and i was not able to find out why and how to fix it so can you tell me why and how to fix it.

    When ever I create an item then load the file to my game the item doesnt have a name. how do you fix that?

    Is there a reason why there are no prefixes in the gibbed editor?
    Whenever i go to create a weapon it has no options in the pane for prefixes / titles.
    Causing the game to load the weapon without a name and making it crap.
    Any solutions?

      If you create a legitimate weapon, the game will automatically assign it a name based on the parts on the weapon.

          Are you creating weapons over level 80? If so, most of them will not have a name. If you’re not creating items over level 80, there isn’t any reason the game shouldn’t name them appropriately on load.

    Is there a MAC version of this? I downloaded the PC version, but it doesn’t give a “MAC” save, only XB, PS3 and PC

        I am using the Mac version of Borderlands 2. I tried to open the save file on my Mac using version 219 in a Windows virtual machine. However I am getting the message “Failed to load save file: invalid SHA1 hash”. Is there some utility that needs to be run before the file can be opened?

          Are you using the Steam provided Mac version of the Aspyr one? The Aspyr one is developed separately and it’s entirely possible it has its own save format.

          invalid SHA1 hash is common error people get when trying to open PS3 saves. It means that the file is still encrypted. Steam has no encryption for their files so, I’m guessing that Rick was correct in assuming you may be using one from Aspyr and they have some kind of encryption scheme built into their save files.

    Hey Guys I need some assistance Im using Horizon And The Gibbed save editor and I get all the steps done right. But when im trying to inject the files into horizon to finish it off I get this error “Invalid STFS package” Ive Tried making a new save and restarting it just doesnt work for me…. I can get everything done but the last step of injecting the file into the flashdrive….

    I’ve been having trouble modding a lot of my relics, the game erases them from my character upon load. I’m not doing anything illegal as far as I know, just following duncanfogg’s gear calculator. Elemental, Elemental Status, Allegiance, and Resistance relics that I pick up in the game I’ve loaded in to the editor and as long as I only change the grade and/or change them to the rare type they seem to work fine. But when I start changing how many effects they have, or what those effects are, they get erased when I load the game. I saw another comment about relics being ‘sanitized’ and I’m guessing this is the same issue, but what’s legal and what isn’t?

    Great work, unfortunately I wasn’t using an updated enough file and corrupted my save data killing that character. How do you alter the file to have completed all of the plot missions save killing the end boss? I want to recoup a single regular playthrough without needlessly grinding that first game again.

    Do u know how to fix the backpack slots its says in the game I have 33 but should have 39 is there somthing in the raw tab to fix this problem or a way ti wipe all of my up gardes an buy them again

      Go to BlackMarketUpgrades in your Raw tab and change the bottom two numbers to 5. Then you should be able to go into the game and re-buy them from Crazy Earl.

    I installed the editor for the first time, and i changed a level 24 Maya to a level 24 Gaige. Everything is fine, exept most of the Mechro quotes are completely gone and the jumping sounds are like axtons or a male character. plz help!

    Hellooo, I just tried your app. Good enough. Saves me from getting insane just because RNG is, well, random.

    However, there’s a problem I have found. If I try to make the new Legendary Killer (or any of the new Leg. COMs) class mod, I can’t make it to be manufactured by Hyperion. Will ya try to fix it? Maybe also, assign the matching manufacturer to each Legendary class mods? Hehe, I know it’s a small problem though.

      There is no “updating” it like that. The options on gear creation are pulled directly from the game files.

    Hey im using horizon to bring my save to the desktop gibb SE cant find it. I used gibbed to create a new save and i still cant add it to my usb. Any help please.

    Just wanted to say thanks for this. Accepted the quest for Moxxi’s Heartbreaker shotgun too early before knowing about the level equalization after killing the Warrior, so I managed to go reset the quest with this.

    Of course, it would’ve been nice if Gearbox had put in such a basic function to begin with…

    I haven’t run through the quest again to make sure I get it but I can’t see what would go wrong at this point. I have a backup, at any rate. Cheers!

    Can you ad a few features for the editor?
    – Automatic decryption and encryption. (Saves time.)
    – Badass tokens editor. (This should be under the currency tab)
    – Badass stats editor. (For those who wish not to manually use the baddass tokens)
    That’s all I could think of so far… I would be very pleased if this were to be implemented.

    I’ve noticed that the save editor wont let me create some items like the new legendary class mods and the e-teck relics ex. Heat of the ancients. When I do try to make one the first box gets a red outline and there are no other variables in the other boxes. I managed to get some e-teck relics legit but if i try to duplicate one it never shows up in the inventory.

      Make sure you are creating them in the right set. Click the down arrow on the right of New Item and choose the Set that you want to make the item in.

      I believe the last number in your BlackMarketUpgrades corresponds to your Bank. Change that to 9. Then go to MaxBankSlots and change it to 24.

        but I go eaps of guns I have farmed and all the got this mod for was to increase the bank slots to like 100

          There is a sanity check on the size of the bank so you can’t increase it past it maximum. However, you can use Gibbed to put as many items into your Bank/Backpack as you want.

    I have a problem. Every time I try opening my up to date save file it comes up with “Invalid or unsupported version” my saves are fully updated bar having a couple of DLC but it won’t open them, even when creating a save it gives the same error, how can I fix this?

    I may just be stupid, but I cant find the .sav file that the program asks for. My save data is in a .bin file. I’m absolutely positive I’m looking in the right place, and this is indeed my save file because I can open it up with a different profile editor. Am I supposed to convert the .bin, or open it, or what?

      Also, the file is 1KB in size, which compared to other game saves, doesnt really seem right.

        Your .bin is Profile which contains information like Golden Keys, BA rank/stats/tokens and customizations. Gibbed does not edit that file although there is one available. You are looking for the .sav files. They’ll be as many of those as you have characters.

          So where would I find that file? I dont know why, but the only other files in that folder are related to Portal 2. They’re .sav docs, but they’re obviously not related to BL2. No idea why they’re in the Borderlands file, though.

            Okay, I’m pretty sure I found it. It’s Save0001.sav.bak.
            But I can’t use backup files with your program, so I need to figure out how to convert it from .bak back to .sav.

            There are 2 save the (saveXXX.sav) and (saveXXX.sav backup) you want to select the saveXXX.sav not the backup, btw (XXX is the number).

            If you’re still unclear here is a video link to show you how to do it.

    Having problem with the program.

    I’ve been trying to load a spesific item to the inventory and bank, but it will not apere in the inventory or bank (I checked and several people seme to have the same problem).
    The item is: Bone of the Ainchents (Fire version) and some people seme to have been able to add it to the bank.

    I’ve got all the borderlands 2 DLC’s and a lvl 64 krieg.

    I used Bruteforce to encrypt the file and update the full pdf once my mods were made. However, when the drive is inserted into the PS3, I can view the usb drive, but PS3 says, “No saved data,” or something to that effect. My folders remain as the PS3 created them: PS3>SAVEDATA>BLUS30982-SAVE-SAVE0001.

    What did I do wrong?
