May I ask why scanning SAM with virustotal causes it to say it has viruses?

  2. Xeny says:

Because, Aura, your AV is totally full of it. AV PC software is programmed to call any file it is not programmed to identify, or recognize, a virus, trojan, or malware. They all will call a keymaker, or keygen a virus, but they are not. What they do is provide a generated key to the computer user in order that they can install and register a program, digitally downloaded game, or other thing purchased, or sometimes not purchased on the Net. The AV software makers cannot help but know the truth about AV software and the many deceptions thrust into the media in order to maintain a certain amount of fear in the public concerning PC virus’, not because there are mass virus’ being spread, so want to instill in PC users a strong awareness for their safety when on the Internet…No, Ma’am, sorry, but none of these manufacturer’s give a stumped toe about any of us consumers. They care about wealth, their own. In fact, Norton the most well known of all AV’s, is the biggest liar, and deceiver of all, calling just about anything found in a computer a flipping virus, frightening many an uneducated PC user and taking control of the users computer by taking actions upon other files, programs installed in these consumers PC’s without the pre notification, or permission of the PC operator/owner. That is wrong. I know this because I help people with PC issues daily, and have encountered many a frightened PC user. These AV companies, and a lot of other software developers continue with this over dramatization, simply because doing so brings them power, and lots of money from those who are paranoid and afraid of a monster they programmed their software to call a virus, though it is no such thing.
People will continue to throw their money away giving it to developers such a Norton, because a good lot of them, not all, would rather live in false fear, and just pay someone to take it away from them, so they can continue in their other more interesting activities, than to simply become educated, and do a wee bit of study on the subject they have been lied to, manipulated, and deceived about for too bloody long.
So, let them then, and they will for the rest of their PC days have a slow operating system, a few application hangs, and false positives, which will in turn cause them to miss many a good time using virus free software, because their AV program removed files without asking the user first, or even informing the user at all of what actions it took upon an innocent program file, and these that live this way, will always be on the phone or emailing the software/ game/ movie disc makers moaning that their software is broken, rather than be educated and in so having been, enjoy their experiences on PC to the fullest.
You are at this point in your PC life, one of the paranoid, and deceived, Aura.
Please try the other route I suggested above, instead of freely handing over your complete trust to a manufacturer of Computer software. They can take people for a “ride” faster and easier than anyone else you know personally, and that is because most home pc users, do not know very much about the workings of a computer. A lot think they have no value but to play games. Tragic!

yeah best way is just to remove ANY AV programm you have on youre pc cause there are no “viruses” which completely annihilate youre pc AND youre accounts on any website…………………..
