Hmm, this is strange, the tool displays some games that I do NOT own like America’s Army 3 and Zero Gear.
However, it also misses out a game that I do own, X3: Terran Conflict.
I see that there is an “Add Game” feature but where can I find the “game ID”???
I am confused…..

It would be very helpful if some explained to us where to find the “game ID” that SAM wants.
This number is number that appears in the top of the page of the game
For example:
Plants vs Zombies is 3590
http://store.steampowered.com/app/3590/
GTA 4 is 12210
http://store.steampowered.com/app/12210/
When you enter in the game’s page ID appears in the web direction

Anyway, I tried to add this game that I own

but when I click add game and refresh after typing 2820, nothing seem to have happened, I still can’t see the game, I had Steam running too.
So, am I doing something wrong here or is it suppose to do nothing?
1. Don’t click refresh, it adds to the current list of games.
2. It won’t add anything if Steam says you don’t own the game.
Can you use this for non-steam games?

hey is there anyway you could integrate a time played reset.? id like to reset time played for various games like modern warfare 2 or team fortress 2. i leave my game on way to much, and some of the games i have i don’t even play. it looks kinda dumb with 0.2 hrs …. if its possible i would really appreciate it. Ive seen others looking for the same thing in other forums, but nothing yet. why reset your achievements with over 100 hrs played.? resetting the hours would make it look more legit as well.
Rick, like I said before, this is exactly what I was talking about. If Steam itself can glitch this effect, I’m sure that it is possible to control the effect.

There isn’t an API in SteamWorks that manipulates played game time: so it’s beyond the scope of SAM.

You can open achievements of Borderlands ( i did it yesterday )…
Open Steam Achievement Manager and in the top of this write 8980 and click add game and Borderlands will open in SAM list.

I have a problem.
In Portal is 3 achievements:
– Cupcake – Need to beat two Portal advanced maps.
– Fruitcake – Need to beat four Portal advanced maps.
– Vanilla Crazy Cake – Need to beat all six Portal advanced maps.
In first I beat two Portal advanced maps and achieved “Cupcake”, but then connection with Steam was lost and when I beat fourth Portal advanced map it stored in achivements in game but not in Steam, when connection was established again – achievement doesn’t stored in Steam and when I beat 6th advanced map I achieved only “Vanilla Crazy Cake” achievement and “Fruitcake” is remained unachieved.
I tried to delete Portal folder/just stat files and verifying gcf, but nothing helped and all six rooms remain completed (so I can not beat again 4 advanced maps to get achievement)
When I tried to use this tool, Steam Achievement Manager, I get a runtime error, when clicked on Portal in SAM.Picker.
