    i really wanted to reset the achievements for a game i do not own that a friend earn by playing on my account using family sharing. there should be a way to identify the games that we have achievements on (even if we do not own/that we have family sharing) so we can reset

      It is impossible to interact with achievements for games you do not own on Steam. If you had it through family sharing, but no longer do, then you no longer can touch its achievements.
