i was trying to use gibbed to complete all mission and i got a 4th playthough should i panic
No there is no need to worry, just go back into the raw tab and redo the play through’s, the play through 4 is just another play through 2. you can keep it, it fine it wont harm your game at all.

Hey, I’e been trying to get this to work for a while now. it keeps giving me that ang “reencode mismatch” error. I mean i got the handsome collection and i wanted to buff some of my old saves and just have no options left after scouring the internet.
If you’re getting a legitimate reencode mismatch (you’re using the correct save editor for the correct game), please post a sample of a save file (decrypted, if applicable) and I can take a look.

having the reencode error coming up on only 1 of my characters? If you want a look where do you can an upload of a save file.
My gibbed save editor will not open. I followed every step and downloaded them multiple times but the save editor will not open. I use windows 10, so that may be the problem. I tried opening the file as a windows 7 one, but it still would not open.
When i searched on 80131040 i got hits that its an error with visual studio, the editor calls for files that doesnt match what the creator used when making the program, any clue how to solve this?

I found the error, it was a dll file called protobuf-net.dll, i downloaded this file and put it in the same folder as game exe files are and now i can load savegames just fine.
The downside is that the games launcher no longer works but it could be fixed by simply copying in the dll file needed and keeping the other one in a backup folder.

Please don’t put the save editor in the same directory as the game, there is no reason to do that.

When i try to load a character it says i need to reencode them….but i have the newest versions, and the characcters are valid in game. But when i make test saves and make test items they all work.
What is going on with the game? do i have to get to a certain point before i can edit characters?

Using Horizon + Gibbed (256) to edit saves for my 360
I can get all the codes and whatnot to work within Gibbed, but the Xbox won’t read the new save data.

alright yo does it work at all? as on my computer windows10 the newest update doesn’t even open, as well as older version don’t seem to be available and if they are the xbox errors over simple white weapons or just moving the save from xbox on to the pc back to the flashdrive
Hey, this is the first time i’ve tried anything like this so I’m not sure what im doing wrong. When i tried editing a save file everything seemed fine in the editor but when I launch the game it freezes once i select continue with my character. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

Hey, i just downloaded the Save Editor. Now one thing happens to me: out of 5 save-files,
only 3 could be loaded into the save editor. The other 2 files caused an error message saying “reencode mismatch”.
I wondered if those 3 working save-files may be my older characters, which i havent played in over 6 months.
so i went ingame and loaded the game with one of the older characters. After being ingame once with the “old” character,
the savefile also could not be loaded anymore. So i guess i only have 1 savefile left that works with the editor.. sadly i can only put things once on the character,
because when i log in i wont be able to edit the save anymore.
When i put the usb back into the xbox it said it was corrupted and if i wanted to delete the file
now horizon won’t let me save rehash and resign
Hey, I followed every tutorial I could find and followed the instructions but when I try to load a character save editor gives me an error saying “invalid or unsupported version.”
I don’t know if it’s character or the save editor version but I need some help.
I’m assuming, due to the recent postings, that either one of two things must be true. Either, the save editor doesn’t work for the update file anymore or the most recent BL2 update has finally locked out all save editing. Opinions?

I have been using and trying both of the save editors (i.e. Bl2 and TPS) on PS3 but when I try to download it onto my PS3, it either won’t show up, or in the game it says that the file is corrupted. I have tried most things that videos say, like bruteforce and other things like that, but even then the PS3 still doesn’t want to allow the edited character to be saved to the PS3. This has been experimented both with BL2 and TPS just to see if it was one of the games but both will not work. I don’t know if it was just me messing with a couple guns (different weapon parts from different manufacturers) or I’m not doing something right. Please help, I’ve been trying this for 2 days now.

What do you mean by support? I’m no longer actively developing the editors, but should a new game patch occur, I will push updates for that.
Sorry, update would be a better word. Revision 256 seems completely broken for a lot of people.
Saying it’s “completely broken” doesn’t help me at all.
Note that any issues with encryption on consoles is completely unsupported. That depends on tools not provided by my save editors.
If you think you have an actual issue, feel free to post a comment with reproducible steps to cause the problem.
If it’s a save file that won’t load properly (such as reencode mismatch) and you’ve verified that it’s the right editor for the save (ie, loading TPS in the BL2 editor is not a valid thing), upload a copy of the save file (decrypted, if applicable) and I can take a look.
I get this every time I try to load a character into the BL2 editor. The TPS one works fine, & update 255 worked fine, but 256 does this every time. Is there a way to just download 255?
