Thank god for the game genie. Need some help I think I may be missing a step but I’m pretty sure I’ve followed all of Rleeson85’s instructions. I created a new save which I decrypted successfully. I loaded the source save file on Gibbed v237. I then replaced over the new save file with the source file but when I refresh the new save file on bruteforce the character details have not changed.
Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
I also tried decryping (using bruteforce) and editing the new save file with gibbed but no luck there either.
It worked just fine for me.
I’m having problems with seraph items and weapons.

It has not worked for since the update. The editor will not open a save and can not make a new save. i have several copies and none of them work. i have the .NET and all of that. Any suggestions?

You must de-cript the file using brutforce first.
Hello, I am using Revision 237 and Horizon. I am following the basic instructions to extract your SaveGame.sav. After I extract the SaveGame.sav file I try to open it on the Gibbed Revision 237, yet it says, ” Failed to load save: invalid or unsupported version” I am currently using the newest version of Gibbed and Horizon. Hey Dom, if I somehow send you a save file, is there anyway you can mod it out for me? I keep trying to open Gibbeds and it just wont open. keeps saying it has stopped working and i try to look for solutions but nothing comes up, and everytime i try to open the application, the same thing happens. And I know you mentioned the Framework4 thing on programs and such but I have no idea where to find it bc it does not come up on my list of programs.

Opened the decrypted file using Save Editor.

The save file is from the unpatched version (1.00) of the game (Borderlands 2) on my ps3. I didn’t update the game. Does this matter?
Dont forget to change the save type when you open the file in gibbed, i get this error when opening a ps3 file while accidently having it set to pc
OH!!! I see now. I need to set the file type to PS3 while I’m in the “Open” menu to select the file. I thought it was the “Platform” drop-down menu in the gibbed application.

Was browsing for a way just to complete some badass challenges that are a grind and dull like the bullymongs killed. Is there a way to do that with this or do i need to use something else. I just want to have them complete not just randomly add points. also use this for some of those challenges that require another player as well, so let me know if it is possible and how.
Can’t be completed with any software but you can modify your BAR (Bass ass rank) using a GPD editor, which you can Google search for BL2.
It can be done on PC via Cheat Engine but, that’s the only way I know of.

Can I use this version to give myself the pre-sequel heads? Or do I still have to download and install that update?
Is there a video tutorial that explains each and every function of the gibbed editor? I have not found one, and I would like to. There’s a lot of stuff to do in the save editor and I’m really interested in some of them but I have no idea how they work. For example, under [RAW] tab -> [SkillData] there is an [ADD] button. How does that work? And all the other multitude of functions. If there is a video that exists, would someone point it out to me? And if no video exists, could someone make one?
SkillData is the only way to bypass the sanity check and give yourself more than 67 skill points. You have to watch out for skill entries in Gaige and Krieg’s trees tho. There are specific skills whose values must not be changed.

The program wont open, it opened the first times but now when i double click nothing happends, have tried to open as admin and not admin!!!
Try this:
1- remove Net framework (all)
2- restart your pc
3- install Net framework from the official site (MS)
4- restart your pc
5- open as admin
If still don’t open what error do you get then press (CTRL + ALT + DEL) and check if it shows on the process.

Save as to desktop top, maybe you’re antivirus maybe be blocking it so you would need to whitelist it through your virus settings.

No its some setting that made your deaths permanent (no re-spawning). Problem was if you had it on and joined someone elses game it turned theres on and you couldn’t turn it off in game, only though a save editor. They patched it though.
Correction that would disable/enable your bad ass rank.
Doesn’t seem to work. Well, works PARTIALLY. Currency tab is working fine. General skill points don’t work, also none of the import functions seem to work, inventory editing also doesn’t work. Let’s say I give myself 2 skill points, I save it, I open the file again and the changes are still in place, I start the game with that toon and there are no skill points, I open the save file again and there are no skill points there as well. It’s as if the game checks how many you are supposed to have and reverts them to the intended value.

I can NOT load my weapons into the game AT ALL. I swear, I’ve probably loaded up that save editor and overwritten my data so much that it is just killing me, why can’t I get my weapon?! PLEASE HELP. 1 – Are you trying to put modded weapons
2 – When you copy and paste the code make sure you include the “BL2” part as well

i had a problem with r237 where trying to open it wouldnt work. the solution is:
-Dowload the the gibbed save editor
-open the winrar file
– open the program in the winrar file
and hopefully this should work.
Hi, I’m running this version and editing the skill points on a PC save is not working for me. I open the save, give myself skill points, then save. I reopen the save just to double check and they are still there. Then I launch up the character and it doesn’t alter the number of skill points I have in the least. Then I open the save back up and it is back to zero as though the game rewrites the save to the “correct” number some how.

Everything seems to work except….when I load the character up after playing with the editor, the character appears just as I made it, with extra gold and iridium, bossted up 10 levels or so. But when I take the character through the game,, he doesn’t gain any experience. When I kill something, the xp shows on the screem where the bad guy drops but my experience bar stays blank. I didn’t see anyonr in the forums with this issue, so I thought I’d drop you a line. Thanks for making this editor! Great tool, easy to use, very flexible. –Wynn
Does anyone know how to select multiple items at once? I did this glitch with badass rank that as a down side fills you with skins… i have 14000 skins in my inventory, and clicking delete over and over isn’t gonna cut it. Any help would be great.

Unfortunately no, the save editor interface uses WPF which Mono does not support. Though that is not stopping anyone from creating their own UI around my code that would work under Linux and Mono.

I’m using the 360 saves and I can’t get a lot of modded items to stay in the bank. They all disappear when I load the game but money and other items stay that I found that pass the sanity check but aren’t all that great even compared to in game items. Yeah I was wondering the same thing, maybe Rick would have to wait until The Pre Sequel is out to see how it works an if its similar to BL2 that a program can be created, this program is the greatest ever, I don’t even mod weapons to be black label either, I just like being able to choose what scopes/stocks/barrels go on my guns, I like to custom the weapons the way I want them…!
Potentially dumb question from a newbie here, i can’t for some reason find the Legendary Cat class mod for Sirens in the gibbed item list, is this because i’m still in the base/normal difficulty in the game (level 31) and Legendary Cat isn’t available till UVHM? Or does Gibbed simply not have the code for Legendary Cat?
