Mass Effect 3 Coalesced.bin tool

Here’s a tool for to convert coalesced.bin into an editable (JSON) format (coalesce-*.zip).

It’s a command-line tool but you can drag&drop Coalesced.bin onto Gibbed.MassEffect3.Coalesce.exe to export to JSON (it’ll create a directory called Coalesced). Once you want to repack, simply drag the Coalesced directory onto Gibbed.MassEffect3.Coalesce.exe and it will create Coalesced.bin (overwriting the original if present, back it up!).

Reply if you have any questions, problems, comments, etc.

If you’re less technically inclined, Monochrome Wench has a tool for visually editing data in Coalesced.bin

I’ve been trying to find that Monochrome Wench coalesced program, but Wenchy’s site seems to be down. Could anyone upload it to a server for me? Even something like dropbox, I’d really really appreciate it

I been trying to get the console enabled using several types of editors
No luck. My version is 1.5.5427.124 ME3 and none of the offset or hex address’s
shown anywhere are valid. Anyone have a Masseffect3.exe that has been
modified to allow the console to open using the ~ key like ME2 did.
I can supply an FTP link and compensate for time.

It’s not the ‘latest’ version, if it is up to 1.5.5427.124, but it is the latest version that I had saved on a hard drive. I believe it is version 1.2.4433.9729.

Anyway, hope it helps out until Monochrome Wench comes back.

  4. Can I just say what a relief to uncover an individual who really understands
what they are talking about on the net. You actually realize
how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people should look at this and
understand this side of the story. I was surprised you aren’t more popular since you certainly have the gift.

Does this work for 360 too or are these tools only available to PC? I’ve been looking for answers but can’t seem to fin them online, the save editors for ME2 ad ME3 are amazing and work perfectly but I’d like to also be able to have the benefits of Coalesce too if possible.

Hello! First I would like to say thank you for making such a wonderful save editor for the Mass Effect series. It has helped me a lot! I’m at the end of Mass Effect 3 and I have found out that by telling Javik to touch the memory shard he will kill himself. I want to change this where I tell him to NOT touch the memory shard. Is there a bool identified for this choice? I would like to change it before I finish the game so that he can live in the end. Thank you for your time and a great program!

Hey there. I realize this is one hell of a long shot but any update on 360 compatibility? I’ve got my 360 version of coalesced.bin extracted, edited, and repacked, but it’s too large to reinject back into the disc image.

Hi. When i drag the coalesced directory onto Gibbed.MassEffect3.Coalesce.exe it opens the console for a split second and nothing happens, no Coalesced.bin comes out of this. Help?

I know your post is old but I just spent like 2 hours try to find out why this exact issue was happening to so hopefully it helps people who come here. Make sure you add a comma to the line previous or this will happen.
