When are you adding fast travel tab on the editor?

  3. Blastoknight says:

Getting a huge error on PC(W8.1) It starts with

An Exception Was Thrown(Press ctrl+C to Copy) But I can’t copy the page and it then lists a bunch of code? I have no idea what it means or why it’s popping up. I know this is vague but maybe it has happened to someone else and or someone else just knows what I am talking about and knows how to fix it.

    • marstinson says:

Caught the same thing. It apparently has something to do with a .dll related to the .NET framework. The error is new with r33 and I’m trying to replicate it.

    • Roodyfire101 says:

Same thing happens to me it says

    • Nova says:

me too bud IDK whats happening ive tryed running as admin but nothing seems to work im on an HP laptop running windows 8

  10. Alex says:

On my computer every Gibbed update has worked. but this update and the borderlands 2 gibbed update don’t work and they make my computer restart and they keep saying “corrupted files detected” also i’m on windows 8.1 if that helps.

  11. Nate says:

I am having the same problem as “timme”..Then when I run as admin it says it wont let me?

    • Erik says:

was wondering if anybody else was having the same problem i was. hopefully able to fix it soon cause i really want to use gibbed.

  12. willyxxx says:

gibbed corrupted my file to the point that I could not progress pass lvl 60, rev 33 is so broken that I can’t even run it. I posted a detailed error report but that did not make it into the posts

    • Rick says:

That shouldn’t be possible, it sanity checks constantly.

      • ryan says:

the reason you guys are getting theses errors are not because of the save editor in the latest patch of the (((((game itself))))) 2k Australia patched level 72’s and op level’s now what iv’e seen is they’ve been releasing upgrade packs with each dlc there are 2 more upcoming dlcs so 80 and 90 you will not be able to mod to that level because the games sanity check will not let you im sure rick already knows of this

it goes on and on, so much so that it wont paste the entirity into this chat box

ive downloaded 6 different times and tried extracting using winrar and regularly decompressing my computer geek friend couldnt figure out what was wrong either :/ all i want is to run around as a level 5 with unlimited sat points is that to much to ask :/

  14. awsomeantz1 says:

I have the problem when i try to open my lvl 60 Xbox 360 save with a re-encode mismatch, any ideas?

    • Rick says:

Upload a sample of the save with the problem (decrypted, if applicable) and reply to this comment with a link to it.

  15. Shawn Martin says:

I keep getting a X FAILED TO LOAD SAVE: REENCODE MISMATCH

  16. Alcor says:

For some inexplicable reason every time I download and attempt to run the save editor my antivirus pulls it immediately and claims it has a trojan in it. It’s called SONAR.Dropper, according to my antivirus.

    • Alcor says:

I just did some research on this thing. Apparently “SONAR.Dropper” is an extremely nasty Trojan virus that can screw with computers in numerous ways. Some asshole must have planted it there. I would really appreciate it if you could remove the damn thing, Rick.

    • marstinson says:

SONAR is a Norton component. Not sure where the .Dropper part is coming in. NORTON immediately removed and quarantined my .exe based on its lack of reputation in the Norton community (less than 5 users of the current version according to my report), but it has done that in the past. A swift kick (“ignore this file in the future”) generally fixes the problem.

      • Alcor says:

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I’ve frequently used the modding tools Rick makes and I was not once given this notification until two days ago, so I panicked a bit. I’ll do as you suggested.

        • Alcor says:

So I figured out the problem. Apparently Norton won’t trust ANY program that has an “incredibly low usage rate” such as the save editor. Go figure.

          • pek says:

And, unless someone has come up with method, other than getting rid of Norton (ok, isp offers for free and I was too lazy to renew eset/nod)? “igonore’ will not make norton ignore all the dll’s. Each time I try to run the new editor it won’t let me.

  17. Sam says:

Still cant load any codes any help much appreciated.

I’m just wondering, will you update it to include the content from owning the tales from the borderlands season pass in the claptastic voyage? My friend tells me there’s awesome things in it but I can’t afford the season pass.

  20. Cody says:

I can’t get the claptrap dlc weapons! The new legendaries and glitch weapons. Could someone help please?

  21. bmob10189 says:

I since I got the updated version (revision 33) every time I try to load the save I get “Failed to load save: invalid SAH1 hash” I on PS3 select PS3 and still get this error, Im also using bruteforce 4.7.3 to decrypt the save. How can I find a previous version of the save editor?

  22. Bill says:

he hasnt updated gib yet give him time

  23. Trucido says:

Just thought I’d report in on this. My antivirus (Norton 360) is saying there’s “WS.Reputation.1” on 3 different files. Gibbed has never triggered alerts before, so I’m sure these are all false positives, but I’ll wait for a new revision before I use the program.

  24. chucky says:

Hi rick thanks it works great . My pc runs great . πŸ™‚ keep it up

  25. colin says:

rick πŸ™‚ just got prequil for the one. save editor work on it? i keep looking for info and am getting mixed responses…seems easier to ask you man

  26. Casey says:

Will there be a save editor made for The Handsome Jack collection on Ps4 and Xbox One? The only way I can use a save editor for it is if I edit my old gen characters and cross save them over to next gen which wastes loads of time

    • Rick says:

No, saves are protected on PS4 and XB1 and there is no way to do that sort of thing currently. The only way it will be possible if you do the save import process thing (ie PS3 -> PS4).

      • Casey says:

Do you think you or someone else will figure something out in the future or is it not possible? The reason I am asking is becuase I don’t have the dlc for pre sequel on ps3 so I can’t do anything with the new characters

        • Casey says:

Oh and Ps4 just updated to 2.50. In that update it allows you to copy save data and other things to an external drive so hopefully that will allow a save editor to be made

  27. Cody says:

Rick, how do i add any kind of dlc stuff to my save file? Everytime i chose a dlc weapon or item to make a red outline goes around it and wont let me make it

  28. Sean says:

Hey Rick, are you going to work on updating the bl2 gibbed for ps4/Xbox one?

    • Rick says:

No, saves are protected on PS4 and XB1 and there is no way to do that sort of thing currently. The only way it will be possible if you do the save import process thing (ie PS3 -> PS4).

okay so i have been using your editors for a while, love em, for the pre-sequel one though…I don’t know if it’s the editor or not but I have 2 operating systems on dual boot, windows 7 and windows 10 tech preview (build 10041), for some reason on technical preview my edited save says corrupted but on windows 7 it isn’t corrupted. is it sensitive to each operating system?

    • Rick says:

      Are you using revision 33?

      • djharris10 says:

Yes I am. I can upload videos to youtube and link you to what happens on windows 7 and windows 10 if you wish. It’s really strange

      • djharris10 says:

        http://imgur.com/IDZi9db,jui1wJe,VZkz40I#0

The three images are something I need to explain

The corrupted character data error i got was on windows 10 build 10041, the other two images attached is character selection obviously, the one where it shows claptrap at level 22 is on windows 10, and the one with claptrap being level 50 (post save editor) is on Windows 7.

        • Rick says:

Oh, this is an issue with the game saying a file is corrupt. I don’t know what would be causing that. I’m assuming this file still loads fine in the save editor?

          • djharris10 says:

Yes the save game loads up just fine in the editor, and i can select and play my character in game even when i modify everything, but when I play on windows 10, on windows 8.1 it also does work, but on windows 10 it has that issue in particular.

        • Quick question, what settings are you using to run it on windows 10. gibbed just crashes after a couple of seconds and tried pretty much everything.

          • djharris10 says:

I use just the default settings for the gibbed editor. the game itself i have on max settings (with the exception of physx which i have on low).

  33. Navi says:

Question: Why does the item and weapon dropdowns say “Marigold Package Def” instead of “Claptastic Voyage”?

  34. TR says:

Having the same problem as others. Can’t use overpower and will not go beyond LVL70. Is there a fix? I’ve Gibbed every BL version without a hitch. This is a first. Thanks for the great editors.

  35. SecretPsycho says:

Trying to load my PS3 Jack Doppleganger into the editor and I keep getting a “Failed to load save: invalid SHA1 hash” message. It was working fine when i was editing my Fragtrap character last night, but now just flat out refuses to load the Doppleganger character. Big fan of your work Rick!

    • SecretPsycho says:

Never mind, I had to restart BruteForce and re decrypt the save file!! STILL A BIG FAN!! πŸ˜€

  36. Nodonn says:

I play on PS3 and just wanted to abuse Overpower to cheese the Claptastic Voyage boss. Overpower doen’t work at all in the latest version. My weps are unequipped and Red “Overpower XX required”

  37. steve says:

Does Wilhelm’s shoulder turret appear in the game files as an actual weapon because the game glitched the other day and I had the shoulder turret equipped as a gun but it disappeared after I swapped weapons so would I have to replicate the glitch or can I mod for the shoulder turret

  38. James says:

Loved Willow Tree for my PS3 any chance this will updated for the PS4? πŸ˜‰

  39. Trenton says:

Rick I’m a big fan of what you do and everything. Lately ( for the past 3 days) I’ve been having trouble. Before r33 gibbed had been working perfectly without a problem, but since r33 Norton always says in the corner that every file is unsafe (it has never done that). I’ve (without exaggerating) downloaded r33 40 times in the last 3 days. Every time it has not worked, such as the alerts of it not being safe and the alert screen with the “An exception was thrown (press Ctrl+C to copy)” thing. All I’m trying to ask for is help, because I have literally done everything. So it would be real nice for you (Rck) to please reply and help me solve this problem.

    • Rick says:

You need to whitelist the save editor files in your AV. You’re getting that error because your AV is quarantining one of the files. I cannot do anything about this myself.

  40. byron says:

For those getting the error Failed to load save: invalid or unsupported version when opening XBOX360 or PS3 saves; make sure you change the type of save you are opening from the drop-down box above the [Open] button.

  41. Zach says:

I’d loke to note that the right click options to either bank an item/weapon or to unbank an item/weapon aren’t currently working.

  42. ryan says:

did you try turning off your safeguard ive tried using Norton with my hp its no help at all it is not the best security for your system it will always say there is an error where there is not (ie:gibbed) gibbed is not an error/ but will come up as malware on a security software because of the fact that it is a modding software now you would have to delete or turn off your security system for gibbed to work

  43. Leon says:

Chronicler of Elpis class mods don’t work for any of the classes, is this intended and if so will they be added in the future?

  44. Nova says:

Im having issues running the save editor on my HP windows 8 laptop and have tried everything ive seen in the comments and what i though would work but didnt Rick or anybody know why this is happening, and what i can do to fix it???

  45. ryan says:

here are some things you can try (download msvcrbm50 rick can edit that if its wrong) also try running it as an admin (administrator) you do have to have admin approval to access the gibbed editor now you can access it without admin but its easier and some computers wont let you access it without admin also try turning off your antivirus software that may help to

    • Rick says:

Uhh… why would you recommend downloading a DLL from the Visual Basic 5 runtime? The save editor is written in C# (.NET 4.0).

  46. ryan says:

hey rick I got a? what about the badass rank modding for ps3 is there a way to open the param.sfo to see what is inside of it then re close it like a modding tool that would open your param.sfo then load your profile data and close it when your done modding or when you save it

  47. ryan says:

I got the same error when I downloaded the gibbed and it told me to download the msvcr50 thing so that was why I kinda suggested it

  48. ryan says:

rick I know your a busy guy but whenever you got the time just reply to the other messages thanks bro and happy modding have the best ofyour day πŸ™‚

  49. Marko says:

Hi Rick. Just one question, I’ve been modding using your editor for a while. Lately it’s not been possible to mod borderlands 2. My question is… Is it worth deleting my game off the system, re downloading it to delete the patch, mod whilst offline until I’m happy, then install patch so I can upload to ps4. Thanks.

    • Rick says:

Sorry, I can’t help directly with console issues, as I don’t own any console copies of Borderlands 2/TPS.

      • Marko says:

Ok Rick. Thanks for the quick response. You have a good Easter… Same goes to everyone.

        Ps… Excellent forum.

  50. DZ says:

Nice tool. Thanks for the updates. However, Laser Disker created with your editor acts strange in-game. It’s projectiles (some sparky mess) are far from what I see in this video. Could it be some problem with the tool?
