  1. Sev says:

Im still having issues with adding skill points to my characters. Any help would be welcome.

    • Guy says:

Reset your level to 1, but leave your XP unchangable

you’ll reset to level one, then level to your previous level as soon as you load in, to clear unspent/unspendable points, simply save and quit and reload the save

You’ll just have to re-equip all your gear once you’re done filling your skills to the level of broken you want.

    • Fusshy says:

Open your save and go to Raw > Skill data, after this, change some Grade to 5, this will fill an skill, some skills only support 1 point, if you put more than 1 in these, the game will change this skill to max value… For obtain the points, just reset your skills

  2. Roman says:

I get save corrupted all the time when i try to change Jack character

  3. Sparfire says:

First of all, I would like to thank you for all your work. I have been using your Save Editor daily for over a year now, and I’m sure I have a big chunk of the Borderlands community with me when I thank you for giving us a lot of extra fun in our favorite game! 🙂

Now, I just downloaded R18 and noticed that it will not let me make the Heads and Skins for Jack. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an error somewhere?

  4. Torvas says:

Thank you for all your work in BL2 and for Pre-Sequel. thank you for helping me enjoy even more, (less farming). I have been trying both r7 and r18 after installing the Jack DLC. I load the save file normally, edit say moonstones, then save. when loading I receive a “Failed to load save:LZO decompression failure (Input Overrun)” this is on a PC, have never seen any errors when i load a save file after editing until now. what is the remedy for this. I see for PS3 a Brute force is needed to open. Yet, i open and load everything is okay first time for the save file. it is when I try play the file or reload the save into the editor.

    Thank you for your help

  5. ZeroMercer says:

Thanks for your hard work in getting these updates out so soon. I just downloaded R18, and it does not support the parts for the Doppleganger classmods. I can select them from a list, but cannot create them and cannot select the parts.

    • Groucho says:

I concur. I tried several different approaches to creating a classmod but all were unsuccessful. Everything else so far is brilliant! Where is your donate button Rick?

  6. Jake says:

+1 to what Torvas said. I cannot open/save my character at all, once it is saved I get “Failed to load save:LZO decompression failure (Input Overrun)” from the editor and the game will not load it.

    Any ideas?

  7. Roman says:

Well i solved my issue, if anyone using windows 10, editor will make the save games corrupted, i returned to windows 8.1 and it works perfect. make sure u have Net 2.5/3.0/4.0 installed.

    • Jake says:

Interesting. I have installed VS2015 and .net 4.6 previews. Wonder if that is the cause. I am on Windows 8.1

      • Torvas says:

Interesting, I have just installed VS2015 and .net 4.6 previews, Windows 8.1. MS changed / has error for .net 4.6??

        • Roman says:

Install vcredist 2012 or it called visual c++ 2012 x86 x64 and 2010 as well.

          • Jake says:

It worked before installing .net 4.6 preview.

Just tried on another laptop which doesn’t have .net 4.6 preview installed and no issues. Seems to be the new preview of .net causing the issue

  8. chris says:

    thank you – great work

  9. Jude says:

Thank you for everything Rick.. The editor is working just fine for me..
As Roman said be sure to update/install MS .Net Framework..

  10. The Anonym says:

Is anyone having issues trying to make the class mods for Jack (doppelganger class mods)?

The one I get outlines the “Type:” entry field in red and does not allow access to the lower fields. If anyone else is experiencing this or knows how to fix it please let me know.

    Thanks

  11. philip says:

im on ps3 and was wondering if anyone can help me i keep on getting a sah1 hash error and have no idea whats wrong im doing the same process i do for my bl2 saves and they work fine. can anyone please help

    • philip says:

sorry i think its called sha1 hash

      • Unhelping Knight says:

You need a tool called Bruteforce.

Use Brutefforce to Decrypt your savefile
Open the Data File in the TPS Editor
        Edit your stuff and save
        Re-encrypt the file and save

        It should work fine then

        • Philip says:

I have brute force and it decrypts fine but when I try to open it with gibb it says sha1 hash but it works perfectly fine with my bl2 saves I just have no idea why it’s doing this with my pre sequel save files

          • iLLShawn says:

im getting the same error like you said i have done it for bl1 ND BL2 and it would work fine but i try it for BLPS and i cant figure out how to fix it

          • DWN2550 says:

You need to delete brutforce and reinstall it this should fix the problem as I had the same problem and this fixed it.

        • philip says:

thanks man it started to work now i really appreciate it but now its not making any changes to my save when i upload my saves to my ps3

          • philip says:

sorry never mind i got it to work been ahwile since i last used gibbed but thanks again

          • Jake says:

The same thing was happening to me. I figured out that sometimes Bruteforce will not refresh so your updated save you just put on your computer is not the one it’s decrypting, it’s trying to do an old, non-existing version which is why you get the sha1 error. I just reinstalled it and it works fine, so if you ever have that trouble again that’s why

          • Yodawg says:

I reinstalled bruteforce but I still get the hash error

  12. Anon says:

Is the download link not working for anyone else?
I click on it and nothing happens.

  13. Lognes123 says:

Hi would love to contribute to the making but i dont know how

  14. Omni says:

I am not new to Borderlands, I am new to editing software. I downloaded the save editor, created a character in it, now how do I put it into the game.

    • Oopsie says:

It’s somewhat safer to start a new character in the game, exit then load that sav in the editor.
if you need to do it your way look at the sav names you have on your system now and create the new sav in that sequence.

      • Omni says:

Ok I made a new character, then loaded the new save into the editor. I made some minor adjustments nothing big, now how do the modifications get loaded into the game. Forgive my ignorance, I’m twenty years old, never had a desire to manipulate my games until now and I am clueless

  15. 鲁宁 says:

    thank you

  16. Hi im on xbox 360 and ever time I open a xbox file I get this message

can anyone tell me what is wrong thank you

    • The Anonym says:

Have you tried deleting all of the gib software from your computer and re-downloading it? Worked for me. I no longer get that message, I just still can’t add weapons to the game.

  17. The Anonym says:

    Hey guys,

Back again. So, I figured out a way around the doppelganger class mods not being select able. All you have to do is use the paste codes for them. I am however running into a new problem. None of the weapons or class mods I make with r18 show up in game on the 360. When I transfer the data back to my computer I can see the items there after loading the save. They just don’t appear in game at all, not even weapons that were originally in the r7 version.

Is anyone else having this issue or know how to address it? Again, please let me know.

    Thanks

  18. BC144601 says:

    Please Rick-Gibb anybody Help:

I can run your R7 editor just fine, however the R18 editor needs a .NET 4.5.1 or higher to run, and for me to update to that I would need win7 or higher sadly I have XP pro and the highest my .NET goes to is 4, would it be possitble to compile the program using .NET 4 for those of us using older computers?
I’m on disability with limited income so I can’t buy a new computer anytime soon, so if you could do this it sure would help out a lot. Thank you.

jack’s stuff is not working(heads, skins, class mods);appears a red line in the item and a cannot redeem it,please help.

  22. RegularJohn says:

I’m having a couple of issues with Skill Points and XP. I bumped up some skills using the editor (gave myself some points) and added a bit to my XP too. It worked fine and had no issues, then recently have found that my XP will no longer increase and therefore no more levelling up. Additionally, adding in Skill Points makes no difference – The game still shows zero. I’ve tried various ways to reset it (lowering XP etc.) and have always ensured that I sync changes but nothing works. I want to level up and accrue XP but am no longer able to. Using the latest version of the app plus latest editor. Everything else works fine so not sure what has gone wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

    RJ

    • Oopsie says:

The BL series games now, since updates, scrub/cleanse extra skill points. You have to add the skills in the RAW section for them to stick.

  23. justaboy says:

Hi. Can we somehow add golden keys?

  24. Omnituens says:

Great tool, love it, though I am looking for a way to reset “To Arms” mission as it bugged out for me (skipped right over one of the sub missions) and I was wondering if there was a way to flag the sub missions as complete, or reset the weapons handed in to 0 (ie totally reset the mission)

    Keep up the great work!

  25. josh says:

I can load up my profile

  26. GREY says:

Looks like save editor (both, BL2 and BL:TPS) not working on Windows Technical Preview (aka 10). It can open save file, but can’t save it. No errors, when you save it, but if you try to reopen it, program will give you error: “Failed to load save: LZO decompression failure (InputOverrun)”. Game says it’s broken. No problems on my notebook with Windows 7
BUT! Python working fine, it can decrypt\encrypt save with no problems (used to change my class)
Python can’t decrypt save file, saved by your save editor, too
p.s. I know, you can’t guarantee, that your program will work on newest, unfinished OS, but if you want to investigate this problem – here’s my saves, before and after saving with your editor, if it can help – http://1drv.ms/1oYjhl5

    • Rick says:

Not that I disbelieve you, but I installed the Technical Preview this weekend in a VM and had zero issues with the save editor in testing, it’s not just 10 that’s doing it.

      • GREY says:

Hm, i don’t know why it isn’t working on my PC anymore 🙁 It was working fine, on 8.1
p.s. tried to install FrameWork, but Windows says, it’s impossible, because it’s already part of OS

  27. DBuznick says:

Experiencing the same problem as before; everything loads in perfectly, except the head skins…they don’t load up at all.

  28. Jordan butthead says:

How do i download the file? Do i click 7Zip? it isnt working!

  29. Teebat says:

Does the software work with PS3 game saves yet? I updated my Brute force so I can decrypt the files no problem but I still get the hash error when I try to load it into Gibbed (I did select the ps3 save when loading.

  36. kurt says:

my save will not mod i changed my skills and added a shield and oz kit did the skills in raw too but when i load my same on the xbox 360 nothing has changed

  37. Jake says:

I have been trying to mess around in the RAW menu and I can’t get much of it to work, like I want to do the bank and my ammo counts but when I change them they don’t work in the game. I was wondering if there is a limit or something for them. Also was wondering if there was a way to do backpack yet. Lastly on a s/n; if anyone has an xploder account and would like to let me use their info for it to mod my profile I would really appreciate it

  38. oli_152 says:

Every time I try to open my save game with Gibbed’s Borderlands The Pre-Sequel! Save Editor, This happen :

    – Failed to load save : invalid SHA1 hash

    What I did :

    1) Opened Brutefoce
    2) Decrypted the save
    3) Opened the save editor
    4) Loaded my save game (I choose PS3 because… I’m on PS3, obviously…)
    5) This error…

    What I did wrong?

    • Jake says:

I was having an issue with Bruteforce where it didn’t refresh when I put the new copy of the save on my computer so when it was decrypting the old one and I went to Gibbed and tried to open the new one it would say that. I deleted and reinstalled Bruteforce and it worked just fine.

      • Yodawg says:

When you say delete do you just mean uninstall or DELETE and then download it again and install? Because I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I keep getting the error

  42. Frying Agaric says:

Thanks so much for your work on this, I wonder if there is a tutorial available that illustrates all the features of the editor. I use it in a number of ways so far, levelling up weapons, skill points, pasting weapons, etc, but wonder what else I might be missing out on? Please advise. Many thanks again.

  43. Kenneth says:

I have a problem. I am not new to Gibbed been using it for a year but today when I tried opening it did nothing. I tried doing the same for the Borderlands 2 version and nothing opened. I downloaded both versions again and nothing opened. I turned off my PC and still got nothing. I repaired the .NET Framework didn’t work so then I re-installed the .NET Framework and that didn’t work I even tried running it as an administrator and that didn’t work. It worked perfectly fine yesterday for both Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel, if anyone has anything that could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
