This editor is no longer being updated and does not support newer Borderlands patches. It is highly recommended that you use WillowTree# instead.

Newer build of my Borderlands save editor, fixes the problem with editing Roland (Soldier) saves, as well as several other minor changes and fixes.

    I can’t give you the hellfire smg parts, cause I don’t have one yet! I’m playing hunter atm and only paying attention to prime snipers & pistols(and the alien weaponry). This gun is a basic edit: http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab304/scribs84/ItemCard00010.jpg
    Stock that gun had about 890 DMG! I copied and pasted other parts from a Maliwan 4x corrosion revolver I had, and this is the outcome. TOXIC SHIT. Nice job on the editor Rick, I’m having a lot of fun using it.

    This is probably one of the best rocket launchers I’ve found, the rockets break into 11 smaller rockets and it’s fire rate is amazing. If anyone has the sniper that shoots 6 bullets or a really nice revolver that are above 40+ would be awesome if you’d post it

    Its decent, and its my first jab at file editing. I am interested in any techniques to injecting new data into these files.
    At this time I just have an offset and I copy the contents of the file afterwards into a Cstring, inject the new block of data with fwrite, then fwrite the Cstring on the end and repeat for every other new block. It works fine but I am sure there is a better way of injecting data into a file stream.

    Anyway, thanks for the great app.

      Well I made a Twisted Bitch x4 Fire Smg. I think it was like 200 some x3, but I lost it with the save file and I cant get anywhere close to it because I cant change the Level Requirement.

    scar3crow: (And anyone else) If you set your level without changing your experience, you’re gonna be boned because you’re at “negative” experience for your level. Look at your character info, it will say something like 1000/200,000 for your level progress. The bar is from 175k-200k (lvl 14-lvl15), and you have 1000 – so until you earn 175k XP nothing will show up there.

    See how much you need for 16 (that second number), go back into the editor, set your level to 1 and your XP to something a bit less than what you need. When you reload you’ll level a bunch of times, get the correct number of skillpoints, and your level bar will show your progress towards 16 again.

    Has anyone found a way to dump all possible prefixes? I’ve been playing around with my guns but I’d love to mod an editor to include all the possiblities.

    If you get one of those screwy guns that shoots bullets in a spiral, take the _Twisted suffix off the barrel.

    As a further aside, adding elemental damage to a weapon generally reduces it’s damage, but if you use the special elemental accessory from a red flavor text (Give Sick uses gd_weap_revolver_pistol.acc.acc3_Maliwan_Defiler_Corrosive, for example) it keeps the damage AND gives you a elemental damage and generally a special animation. Pele Demands Sacrifice is a fun one as well – incindiary sniper, no damage reduction, and it pops mushroom clouds wherever it hits. FUN!

    Material 5 isn’t always better than Material 1 – I’m working on documenting what the different part names do exactly, but try lowering the number to get better results. Sometimes an over-powered scope reduces damage too much.

    You get much better ROF by changing your sniper weapon to semiauto in the weapon type.

    Love this editor, saved me from having to redo my char when I lost it one night. Wish I could have gotten back some of my weapons. Nothing spectacular but I did find them πŸ™‚

    Would love to see a weapons editor as the hellfire up there was fun to play with on a hack char I made to mess around with.

    Also any update on what you will be added to your next version?

    skidz – My code doesn’t do any injecting, it completely breaks down the save into memory when loading and rebuilds the save file when saving.
    XWolf – Haven’t been able to work on much, my LCD monitor died on me yesterday so I’m stuck with a shitty old CRT that’s limited to 1024×768.
    negativeone – Please upload and post your save so I can take a look.
    Tatersalad – Bugfixes and PS3 (and 360?) support, some additional fields are editable (like weapon slots).

    For information Masher Revolvers are the ones that shoot 7 bullets at the same time aka Showgun revolver.And right now ppl arent creting new weapons etc Every one of the created guns can be found in chest or droped from a enemy.

    The interesting part is to create perfect “legit” guns. That the game would also generate and you could find if you were incredibly lucky.
    It is kinda dull to create a weapon with 3-5 legendary parts.
    Finding the parts that interact within the game mechanics, thats where the fun is at.
