Hi everyone, I made an unofficial patch which fixes about 10,000 things in Anno 1404…no joke. It also includes the edits that Rick discovered to unlock the preorder content. And best of all, it doesn’t break achievements or unlocks! So if you want to avoid any editing to get this tweak to work with Venice version 2.1 (or the Gold game versions), download my patch.

Lastly, thank you VERY much to Rick for pointing this technique out. For those who want to know what was edited, it was the addondata\config\game\properties.xml file. You can search for “122923″, “122926″, and “123015″. For each one, right after the ” lines, add:

122923
AllGamesMax
GreaterOrEqual
1
All
122923

Or just use my unofficial patch. If you use a non-English version, you have to rename a Ship to exactly whatever the translation of “The Silver Ship” would be in your language. It must be exact!

U can unlock the preorder coat of arms by copying the parameters in line in profile.xml from a unlocked profile to your current to get it.This resets the other emblems but refund gems to buy again.
Not sure how to unlock ship.Does anyone know how to do it?
It is in list but dont know how to add it to other profile without corrupting it.

I have one suggestion; anyone who knows how to unlock the Pre-Order Silver Ship could put the lines here that he changed – that way anyone could modify an up-to-date profile.xml file.

Also ich habe die Version mit “Der Voyeur” durchprobiert. Allerdings steht darauf hin im Hauptmenü unten rechts bei mir “[game modding detected achievments deactivated]”

die erfolge und folglich auch die bonusinhalte wie das wappen und das silberne schiff werden nicht freigeschaltet

wie kann ich das umgehen?
