This is kind of embarrassing…where do I find the files? I opened up the extractor, and that’s about as far as I got.

Ok most of the time when i extract file pak01_dir.vpk it crashes on almost anything
never completes it.

Windows XP service pack 3 here

Can you find out.

I am Having the same issues as Ben and Mateos. Crashes at the same place for L4D2 extract.
I tried Compatibility mode for XP SP2 & SP3 but that didnt help. I am running windows 7 64bit.
I do not have L4D installed to try that.
Not sure I have provided any info that can be helpful but hey, I tried!
